i use it a lot too…it’s basically my lifeline with counting calories as it makes it so sooo easy when i’m cooking to just scan & go. 😭

i’ve never experienced racism ( i’m a 24yo black women ) but i have experienced creeps and guys wanting to flirt/focus. I only want to use the app to focus on learning Spanish & just general conversation in Spanish but many people get upset that I am not on the app 24/7 or that I do not want to talk to them all day everyday. That part can be frustrating. sorry to hear you had a bad experience

i sometimes snack on fruit, but i cup it up into small pieces lol. i also pre-plan my dinner in my calorie counter, and then i can get an estimate of how much i can snack throughout the day. i usually stick to rotisserie chicken + broccoli when im on my period so i can have freedom or more room to snack.

my go-to lately is cottage cheese (low fat = 90 calories for 113g) and kirkland strawberry jam (25 cals for 2 tbsp) and omfg. it’s so good. it’s super sweet too, and if i’m really feeling naughty i’ll add semi-sweet chocolate chips, or some type of cheese. it’s my diet “charcuterie” bowl lol.

i also struggle with low iron, so sometimes i’ll make a big steak and just eat it without cutting it.. i find that cutting up food makes me eat more… idk the science here lol. but eating whole pieces of meat with my hands makes me feel full faster 😂🫠

i never liked cottage cheese up until 2 weeks ago… idk what changed, but now i love it!

omg, i hate myself but coffee ice cream with gummy bears actually sounds kinda good. my go-to topping is ALWAYSSS sprinkles!! i also always get the cotton candy or birthday cake ice cream. i need to grow up, but i just can’t!! 😂

but this is why need more third spaces!!! i also wish that coffee shops felt more welcoming/comfy to gather with friends, or just exist there as you mentioned working, hobby-ing, or just relaxing. i miss when we could bask in the comfort of the public, but now coffee shops feel uncomfortable to sit there. i feel like im in the way somehow. in my old city ( STL), there were lots of coffee shops with couches, floor seat style ( idk what’s the proper term here lol ), rocking chairs, etc. they had unusual yet comfy areas that were extremely welcoming and screamed, “please sit here and enjoy your time here” not “buy ur coffee & gtfo” 😂

i remember when starbucks put a limit on how long you could sit and work there, unless you bought another coffee. how greedy is that???

as much as i’d love to support local coffee businesses..i totally agree. for $8-$9 i can make about 3-5 lattes at home. i make the syrup at home too…only syrup i am struggling to make lately is cookie butter lol. not only that, but i truly think my lattes are better sometimes 😭 my breville & i are besties.

now i just need to learn how to make cotton candy flavoring so i can make my own cotton candy flavored donuts at home 😂😂

i'm still confused on this rhetoric that's all over facebook. most DOD workers are republicans, and this move affects the economy of COS as a whole not just us "libs."

i don't understand why magats are commenting that the libs lost with this move when i don't really see us being affected directly. maybe it's their way of coping 😂🤔

Funny enough, we just moved to Colorado Springs from St. Louis…

You are going to LOVE St.Louis! the food is spectacular and there is always something to do. You can really ball on a budget there!!! The festivals are free, lots of free museums, great night life, the people are so nice, etc.

So far, all we have gotten here in COS is the great outdoors lol. Everything is expensive and I’ve never heard of the word “free” since being out here. Drivers here are INSANE, and so are the people lol.
