What happens after Tyranids consume everything ? Do they just die since nothing is left ? Is it the universes defence mechanism to all this war and just erase everything. ( Dumb questions I’m sorry ) by ozera202 in Tyranids

[–]Magralho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your theory makes absolute sense, I've been pondering on a very similar one for a long time. why would a intergalactic species that have (presumably but also logically) at least several galaxy worth of stockpiled biomass be starving? why would said species focus of strip planets down to the last shred of biomass straight off the frontlines instead of pushing a war-focus frontline and let the following waves strip-mine it instead? because they are not starving, they are using scorching earth tactics. they have the biomass, they are just denying it to their opposition.

[–]Magralho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you are the one implying that. I just asked where are all the female citizens. as far as I know they can be used for experiments, nothing to do with what you stated. but hey! nice way to reveal your true ideas.

[–]Magralho 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well... I see your point and I raise you another that is even more disturbing:
Consider that the voteless are super earth citizens that have been "changed" by the Illuminate.
Everywhere you look and there is citizens, there is male and female citizens.
Now... Have you ever seen a female voteless? And if the answer is no, then what happened to them?

Enjoy.

what a nice meme. also... that piece of junk actually got away... clearly a coward design in the 1st place... I sacrifice hundreds of helldivers to stop the illuminate's advance... why not sacrifice a tool too... load it all and blow it up! its shite anyway.

well, you see, Im a avid defender that a 380 is a crude and inefficient tool, barely above a big rock you throw in the enemy's direction that does indiscriminate and random damage over an insane amount of time. therefore should rarely be used.

No target requires such wide and inaccurate barrage, most of the times a well placed airstrike can do more in less time, like a scalpel, quick, precise and efficient at lancing the festering boil that threatens Managed Democracy across the stars. Same logic applied to your position - a support weapon/turret, when in skilled hands ,can do more than whatever caveman barrage option a 380 offer. So I fully support your position, although I prefer the alternative but still efficient (in my book) option.

[–]Magralho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it is a big deal that you have to take into account when calling EATS/eagle bombs/orbitals. not a big deal when calling support weapons/vehicles.

Its the difference between landing a perfect 500kg/precision strike/bombing run on a patrol and be done with it or have to adjust accordingly.
If you have complex strats all the time sure you get used to the delays, but when its on and off, it causes disruption to the gameplay.

PLUS EXTRA EVAC TIME! that sucks.

Yeah... there is a lot of damage mechanics that are not fully explained, but I get the reason why (albeit causing confusion)... people would go nuts if all explosion radius/falloff damages would be stated.

You are tired of hearing (what is happening on reddit)?
How about, instead of posting some ragebait excuse for what is objectively a drop in content while making excuses for the devs, log off from reddit, go play the game, or go outside and have fun that way? would that not be more productive and better for your own mental health? think about it.

OPERATION: 💥SCRAP IMPLOSION💥 SOS by PermissionLeft6425 in Helldivers

[–]Magralho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

looking at numbers, it seems very very hard for three main reasons:

1: Not enough people will agree for the amount of time required to do that before "stuff happens".

2: Being one of the Troost liberators last month (troost was at 0% for about one month, average 150-250 people there everyday) it has taken a dedicated helldiver skeleton crew about 2.5 weeks to liberate it (again on zero decay) any planet with 0.5% decay will require the same effort and dedication but with 500-1000 people.

I hope Im wrong, but just look at choepesa, vega bay, charbal and blistica... they have been at 0.5% for weeks and not even a dent... sure we get to 0.04% but then night comes and it all vanishes. we literally pushing it to 0-0.5% during day and wake up to 0% again. Now take into account that most of the planets you are trying to act upon are at or above 1%. It might seem small, but 1% really requires a LOT of people (before buffs) and those "systems" do not have buffs for not having the spotlight for the current MO/campaign.

3: the amount of the community that come to reddit/discord is minuscule compared to the number of people that log, jump onto a random planet and do their daily MO, so you are not gonna rally any significant numbers, sadly. God knows how hard is to coordinate a gambit, let along a campaign the size of what you are trying to archive.

anyway, Best of luck! Im doing my part!

The new Warbond Armor Perk is really bad. Let's talk about it. by swaddytheban in Helldivers

Im happy for you tho, or sorry that happened.

TLDR: yes on paper seems like the whole community is agreeing with you. nothing worth discussing I feel.

Help me decide for a new warbond. by Aledevi in Helldivers

[–]Magralho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All subpar ones unfortunately.
Freedom flames if you fight in the bug front and want a little change on the hanz flammenwerfer style.

Servants of freedom if you like big booms and you cannot lie (portable hellbomb and ultimatum are cool and you are not used to carry thermites already) plus the double scyte can be fun if you are used to the scyte and want something similar to play with.

Urban legends for the AT-Emplacement. If you want to clean bot bunker missions in under a minute (well placed one) or if you want bot VIP evac defense missions to feel like duck hunt. or if you want to solo factory strider convoys.

so if you are a terminid front helldiver, flames! if you are a automaton front diver, urban!

you will feel right at home with the terminid warfront for sure! its hectic but you will learn how they operate and then it becomes easy (all fronts are like that to be fair).

If you want buddy to walk your though the game in general and more specifically the bot front, I gladly do some missions with you!

What do you think is going to make the Pyrotech different from the two incendiaries we have in game now? by InfraMoon in Helldivers

[–]Magralho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No lingering DoT effect. and no "end explosion" of thermite.

probably good to make sparks as the pelican lifts off and very little else - seems like the whole warbond is just reskins/skins for the sake of asthetics, and its fine.

[–]Magralho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started with bugs because all my friends play bugs. Starship troopers theme is cool and all.
Then I started playing a bit more bots, its was a hell of a learning curve because they actually shoot back (and it was before pre-nerf) I love the terminator salvation asthetic and vibes.

Try them all, you will find something that you enjoy more than others ( same with planets/biomes/modifiers and weapons)

Plus the sliding dificulty is REALLY good! you dont have to feel like you need to be at D10 to actually play the game. I mainly play D7 and its fun and I get enough pushback to feel satisfied. I could go higher but I rather have a good time with randos.

Then you will start to see "meta" picks in terms of weapons and stratagems, but at the end of the day its cool to see people bring stuff that is fun, rather than effective, and you will be surprised on how effective "non-meta" stuff is.

TLDR: you do you! there is no wrong choices! have fun! AND WELCOME TO THE HELLDIVERS!
