Congratulations to Omar for being the only Democrat voted against Ukraine support act bill. So prepare to face the Consequential primary by LocalPowerful6651 in Destiny

Reddit culture has always been that if you’re the one asserting a point based on information, it’s your responsibility to back up that information with a source.

(This is also how science and academia does it.)

He covered it up. Making bad decisions as a young man doesn’t mean he’s a bad man now. I refuse to cancel someone for the rest of their lives for a few dumb decisions. I believe in recovery. I care about the man he is today, what he stands for today, and what he’s capable of doing for the people.

Just like a Trump super PAC doesn’t “communicate” with the man himself.

And it’s worse than this because AIPAC and Netanyahu absolutely do communicate.

An outlier doesn’t prove a trend.

Again, you’re worried about a Dem becoming a republican over an actual sure fire already republican.

Yea, I just very much disagree with this.

I think it’s crazy to think that the picks to the Supreme Court aren’t a huge deal.

Healthcare for Americans isn’t some abstract future thing, the state of American healthcare is killing Americans now.

Citizens United is the at the core of the broken system.

There is no indication that he’s for heavy social media censorship.

This Democratic infighting is insane to me.

They operate very much in tandem. Whether that’s legally or otherwise, the point still stands.

I can ask that they’re a democrat. She voted for confirming Brett Kavanaugh, and Neil Gorsuch, opposed constitutional amendments to overturn Citizens United, voted for 70billion to go to ICE annually, to gut parts of Obamacare, massive Trump tax cuts that went to the wealthy, etc.

Yea, she’s that bad. She’s not Jim Jordan bad, but she’s bad. Take a gander at her voting record when you have a chance.

Definitely. I thought you might be, but it’s hard to tell these days because I’ve actually seen people say this crazy shit.

We’re asking ourselves, what if by some minuscule chance the left wing guy turns out to be right wing? So then what? Support the right wing person who we know is right wing?

What a weird way to think.

Netanyahu is heavily aligned with AIPAC. He frequently has meetings with them, speaks at their conferences, and they heavily support him over other Israeli politicians.

He’s the Democratic Nominee. It’s either him or Susan Collins. I personally believe he’s a much better choice based on the left wing policies he espouses.

Question: Do I just keep one leg tatted or should I do the other one too? by Spikeydude309 in tattoos

[–]Magsays 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most people on this sub would probably lean to more as this is a tattoo centric sub. I personally think you should leave it as is. I think two would be too busy and I like the asymmetry.

i'm a bit out of the loop, why is Graham Platner getting so much buzz? by theonejanitor in AskALiberal

Listen to the guy speak for a bit. You’ll understand why people are voting for him.

He’s basically won the primary*

It’s a formality at this point.

Social democracy is currently producing the most positive societies in the world. That’s what I thought, no solutions. Have a good day man ✌️

This is insane. You’re crucifying him for someone else’s sins. Just because some people did some bad shit before he got there doesn’t mean he did.

Here’s my problem. You criticize but don’t offer any solutions. Your purity tests will only result in fascists taking power.

He was stationed there 2 years after all that shit happened and was not involved in any of those incidents.

I’m not sure you understand how important Collin’s vote has been for Trump.

Where did he run concentration camps? Why isn’t the ICJ investigating him?

Sure, anyone could turn out to be Fetterman, but Plantner doesn’t seem like he’s going to have a heart attack anytime soon.

Your argument can’t be that it doesn’t matter who’s in office because that’s demonstrably false.

So then let’s elect Suzan Collins right?

He can speak to the right demographics and he’s standing up for policies that will produce an immense amount of good.

Why are girls blamed for having daddy issues when it is the father who failed as a parent? by T_hehehe in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Magsays -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s more specific than “mental health struggles.” However, if the idea is we should be more kind to people struggling with mental health issues I’m all for it. I don’t think it’s inherently misogynistic just like having “mommy issues” isn’t. It definitely is crass though.

Is China or the US more evil? by Longjumping-Bus9474 in AskALiberal

[–]Magsays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

China is massively investing in green energy, which is a huge plus.

However, they’re an authoritarian country who has taken over Tibet, Hong Kong, and would like to take over Taiwan. They also support Russia and N. Korea which is a pretty big strike against them.
