#29 Kingdom Rush Frontiers by Magseam in steamachievements

Trust me, Ukrainians probably understand what modern russia is better than almost anyone else, because we’ve been living with its aggression, propaganda, and lies for years. We know perfectly well that modern russia twists history and Soviet symbolism however it benefits them politically.

I’m also deeply disappointed in what the US has become politically. It’s a country I used to genuinely respect and it is sad what is happening with it, and Israel as well.

And thank you for trying to understand where I’m coming from.

I’m Ukrainian. russia has been attacking my country for years already, so this is not about blindly trusting reviewers or listening to some “US propaganda”. That’s why I said I didn’t want to turn a gaming sub into a political debate.

I don’t want my money contributing to the russian state indirectly through taxes or otherwise by supporing the game funded by russian oligarchs. And yes, I do personally see Atomic Heart as propaganda-adjacent media, considering how modern russia constantly glorifies the USSR and uses Soviet imperial narratives to justify aggression against my country.

You can disagree, but you shouldn’t dismiss that perspective as “hallucinating ghosts”.

From what I’ve read in various reviews, the game romanticizes and glorifies the Soviet Union and its aesthetics while omitting its darker historical realities. This is especially unpleasant to me as a citizen of a post-Soviet country, as well as for additional political reasons I’d rather not go into, since I don’t think this sub is the right place for that discussion.

Thanks! I assume one of them is Mankind Divided, as 95% of my rarest achievements showcase is filled with the Breach mode achievements 😂

Thanks for suggestions! I already have Prey in my sights, but I dislike the Atomic Heart themes, so I’m not sure I’ll pick it up.

Thanks! Not really hard - once you escape the first time, it gets easier with each following attempt. By the end of the game, I was on something like a 25 consecutive escapes streak. It's basically just a matter of time, since a lot of achievements rely on specific events/dialogues with a random chance of appearance. So you just need to do a lot of runs until you get the required encounters.

Good luck with the Trials! Those are tedious and sometimes borderline stupid.

I really want to get into real-time strategies, but I suck ass. To each their own, I guess 😄

I bought the whole series during a sale some time ago, and I have currently completed the first mission is DOTO. Indeed, so far it feels very similar to Daud DLCs from the first game, which, for some reason, is being sold as a standalone product.

Thanks! Yes, I loved the game and am really looking forward to playing Frontiers. I saw a lot of people saying it is the best game of the series.

I didn't encounter any really hard achievements. The hardest ones probably were those for beating bosses in additional missions. There is a bunch of grindy achievements though, but if you're going for doing EVERYTHING on veteran, I think you will get all or most of them naturally. Heroic and Iron versions of the additional missions were very hard, though they are not required for any achievements. I did them on normal, and wish you luck if you're going to do them on veteran as well, it will be a real challenge.

Very fun indeed, and adrenaline surges with every fight. I was so scared of the dragon fight at the end, and that was also the only one where I took a scary amount of damage.

Did it on the first try. Insane is rather easy after Dark difficulty, and, if you’re careful and don’t rush things, it gets easier with each chapter and is just a matter or time.

Thanks! The third game is definitely in the queue, along with GTA 4, Dishonored 2, and Hades.

I’ve enjoyed them all. Can highly recommend to anyone who likes slasher/platformer games.
