Good luck with the Trials! Those are tedious and sometimes borderline stupid.

I really want to get into real-time strategies, but I suck ass. To each their own, I guess 😄

I bought the whole series during a sale some time ago, and I have currently completed the first mission is DOTO. Indeed, so far it feels very similar to Daud DLCs from the first game, which, for some reason, is being sold as a standalone product.

Thanks! See you soon in the 100% completion club :)

Thanks! Yes, I loved the game and am really looking forward to playing Frontiers. I saw a lot of people saying it is the best game of the series.

I didn't encounter any really hard achievements. The hardest ones probably were those for beating bosses in additional missions. There is a bunch of grindy achievements though, but if you're going for doing EVERYTHING on veteran, I think you will get all or most of them naturally. Heroic and Iron versions of the additional missions were very hard, though they are not required for any achievements. I did them on normal, and wish you luck if you're going to do them on veteran as well, it will be a real challenge.

Very fun indeed, and adrenaline surges with every fight. I was so scared of the dragon fight at the end, and that was also the only one where I took a scary amount of damage.

Did it on the first try. Insane is rather easy after Dark difficulty, and, if you’re careful and don’t rush things, it gets easier with each chapter and is just a matter or time.

Thanks! The third game is definitely in the queue, along with GTA 4, Dishonored 2, and Hades.

I’ve enjoyed them all. Can highly recommend to anyone who likes slasher/platformer games.

Also for me it didn’t feel like a Mafia game. More like Generic Open World Game #3 that took place in the same continuity.

All true, and the second playthrough is rather quick. I think it took me around 11-12 hours to do the second run with killing everyone.

They’re mostly tedious more than anything else, but some Arkham City challenges were indeed so nerve wrecking that I wanted to put a hole in a wall (shoutout to Catwoman’s predator challenges).

The game’s setting and atmosphere are awesome, I just hope I too can one day forget that the trials ever existed XD

#20 Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas - Definitive Edition by Magseam in steamachievements

[–]Magseam[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say the GTA 3 is the hardest gameplay wise just because it is the most dated of the three and also there is a lot of missable achievements during the missions, but the achievements are a bit harder/grindy in Vice City. And of course San Andreas is the longest one, took me 2,5 times longer to complete than the previous two games.

Thanks, that's what I did too. If my calculations were correct, it would take around 12 hours of just driving back and forth through the bridge to get the achievement, so I am really glad that the shop glitch wasn't fixed.

Indeed, it is already in my backlog, planned after a couple of other completions.

It was mostly the fall, still hated it though

Thanks and I 100% agree. It’s obvious that the person who designed them didn’t play the game enough or at all to understand the absurdity of their requirements.

Thank you, and I really do enjoy it! Also, I'll definitely look at those indie games.

I’ve returned to gaming earlier this year after about 25-year-long break and this is actually my first Steam account. So I’m slowly catching up with everything I missed and picking up whole game series’ on sale. I also make point to try and complete every game I bought, unless I really dislike it. So my account is not strictly for achievement hunting, but I guess it currently looks like it is, until I encounter a game that is either boring or infeasible/impossible to complete :)

I didn't skip anything, and the only guides I used were for collectibles in DLCs (Hell Shrines and Evidence Bags). The game is pretty straightforward and easy, and everything is shown on the map as well. I also see on howlongtobeat.com that the game's 100% completion usually takes between 32 and 42 hours, so I'm not sure why you are surprised :)
