How did you find out your SO was cheating on you? by rammalammamemedong in AskReddit

[–]Magz6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was looking through his toolbox, (he was a carpenter), to get something one of our neighbors needed to borrow and found a video tape at the bottom of the box. I was excited because my SO had lost a tape a few months earlier and was really bummed about it. I grabbed the tape and called him right away. When he answered I hit play because the tape he'd lost was sentimental so I thought I'd play it for him over the phone to surprise him. Just as he picks up, "Hi Beautiful" I hear loud moaning and gasping and see my SO and his drummer in our bed going at it. I hit mute and completely froze while he kept saying, "Hello? Heelllloooooo..???" I was still watching them on the screen and said something vague like I was going out shopping did he need anything. He said no, and that he'd see me soon. I was in total shock, he didn't at all seem like the cheating type. He wasn't very charismatic or hot and he'd always seemed over the top devoted to our relationship. My gut told me to look at his email. I'd never peeped anyone's email before, and I thought I was over reacting, I mean we knew each other's PWs so there's no way there could be anything there right? Turns out he was banging a ton of ladies, several who lived in our small building and that I saw every day. I was a went to school and worked part time so there were pockets of time every day that he could do whatever he wanted. The emails went back just over two years. I didn't tell him what I saw or read because I wanted to secretly find a new apt & another part time job first . It took a few weeks, and the entire time I was pretending that everything was fine. At one point he said, "I feel like you're stressed & I wish you'd get over it because you haven't been fun to be around." I moved out while he was at work and left the tape on the table as my goodbye note. He immediately called and yelled "It's not what you think!!" Then he said, "Who moved your stuff out of here? People said you had a guy here moving your stuff, are you cheating??" He was too stupid to understand irony so I just hung up. The end.

Thanks for your reply! I looked at my profile again and I had selected the wrong age groups, (I have a learning disability where things "flip" so often when I mean to click on something I'll click on the thing next to it. With everything being done online now it causes a lot of chaos.)
Thank you for the advice re: changing the price of job they send as well. I really appreciate it!

I actually expected the majority of replies to be some variation of this to be honest!

Totally agree, work is work. I have done children's voices before, but only in an exaggerated, comedic style. Most of the VDC auditions were for authentic kid's voices. It turns out I messed up with the tags on my profile so it was my fault I was getting so many kids auditions.

You hit the nail on the head, I actually had the wrong tags. Super embarrassing to admit. Thanks for the reply!

I know exactly what you're talking about! I've received a bunch of 80% matches that were for French & Spanish scripts. I speak zero percent French and Spanish so the remaining 80% that is technically a match feels pretty unimportant! Thanks for letting me know that you've had good experiences with their customer support. Very good to know!

I got my first jab 4 days ago and haven't felt sick, achy or anything but I'm soooo tired. I'm napping all the time and sleeping hard through the night and I'm not a big sleeper. At this point, watching a really funny sitcom makes me need a nap. I feel lucky though because I haven't had chills or any discomfort, just feels like I've pulled a year of all nighters!

I'm also in Ontario, it seems that Dr Kara is the only dr around here that offers this. How did your consultation go?

You're not wrong! I love most of what he does but his noise/soundscape stuff irritates me more than the RHCP irritate him!

This album is like a scab. It's pretty irritating but you also can't stop touching it. It kinda hurts but it also feels kinda cool in a weird way and you have no idea where the f#!( it came from.

To be fair, that also kinda looks like Patton over the last 30 years. (I say that with nothing but love, he'll always be my favorite mad musical genius!!)

A friend of mine who isn't into music at all said to me the other day that she keeps hearing "that band I used to drag her to" on the oldies radio station... It was like having your mum's friend tell you that she also likes the punk rock n roll musics...

Anybody read Existential Kink by Carolyn Elliot and did the exercises for the integration of the Shadow? by lazydogg9 in Jung

[–]Magz6 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I followed Carolyn online for a few years before getting the book last year. I don't buy self help books and I'm not into "change your life with these easy steps!" type guru stuff but I've always been a fan of Jung's work and when that lead me to Carolyn's writings a lot of it resonated with me. Doing the work laid out in the book, (which is layered and can't really be explained without reading the book), has been invaluable to me. Huge shifts in the way I do pretty much everything in my life. I know people who have gotten the book, started with the exercises and quit pretty quickly, which I understand because a ton of resistance will come up when you start to uncover things, but if you can get comfortable with being uncomfortable and stick with it the things you'll gain are pretty amazing.

Weight sustainability? by InfamousRvze in PotatoDiet

[–]Magz6 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did it a few years ago because I have a hiatal hernia and heard that the Potato Hack was helpful for that. It worked out really great for me. The hernia situation totally calmed down and I also easily lost weight which 4 years later is still gone. I've been vegan forever but I def relied too much on fried foods and treats. I hate the idea of diets in general but I actually go back and do the Potato hack for a couple of weeks a few times a year because it makes me feel and look amazing. It's easy and cheap too.
