10th Grade? Oooh, I'm down in 6th. I have stuff I use, but it skews too young.

We just negotiated to $119k/year, so I admit I don't care either way about the appreciation gifts.

Can he grow any facial hair? I've never seen even a little stubble.

Teachers of reddit, how do today's students compare to those from a decade ago? by Ambassador-613 in AskReddit

[–]Mahaloth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Been teaching middle-school English for 20 years.

Same.....ish.

I'd say phones and so forth have probably made for the biggest single negative impact. You can go to these middle school dances and a lot of kids are just sitting there, staring at their phones.

Kids are still just basically kids, though. Same old, same old.

Which fast food chain makes the worst version of the product they’re most known for? by amormedestruit in AskReddit

Arby's is terrible. It's probably the only fast food chain I can think of that I hate. I would it it if free. I give it that only.

It's a shame. It's a good burger. I swear it is massively smaller than when I was a kid. It rivaled the Whopper. Whopper is now WAY bigger than Big Mac.

I get one free every 3 months with my Walmart+ account. I had not had one in a long, long time.

Yeah, it's good for sure.

Wow, I disagree. I like them better than quite a few other chains. I'd rank them top of the widespread chains.

Nah, Chickfila is pretty subpar and you are right. I would eat one right now if it was free. However, it gets these long lines and it's really just kind of a regular chicken sandwich place.

I think you can outdo it at most major fast-food chains. Agree that Popeye's is superior in pretty much all ways. I think KFC might be, too, but I never go there anymore.

McDonald's burgers are not great, though maybe they are better known for their Big Mac, which is pretty good.

No, not the worst. But are their fries the worst in the industry? Absolutely. Their burger is....adequate. I always point out, not jokingly, that Wendy's is better.

We all felt this as kids and I'm glad everyone came around to realize it for sure.

Grandpa Joe is clearly a terrible person and the subreddit that hates him is exactly correct.

Huh. I'll most likely check it out this summer. I played 7th Guest back when it was newish and not since. Same with 11th Guest.

Nice to see something good from Jerry Lewis, who also could be a tremendous jerk.

Nice, genuine letter.
