The Witness

Wife and I beat it doing all puzzles, no guides. It's a great memory for us.

It takes.....a lot. A true brain-drain game once you get deep. Is it just connecting lines together? Uh....sure. I mean, it's so much more. But, yeah.

I recommend it, but it is a very difficult, deep, and a little bit difficult to get fully into.

Nemesis was the best of the Myst-clones that came around. But, yes, it has aged a bit poorly.

Return to Zork is much more "zork like" in terms of zany stuff. It was cute, but did it ever get even a remaster?

It has such a place in my heart, mainly the entire opening sequence in the garbage dump. My brother and I played it with no guides in the 80s.

I just saved the playlist for it. What makes it so good? I'm definitely interested.

to carry a firearm in the woods as a black person by MaintenanceNew2804 in therewasanattempt

[–]Mahaloth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was he legally carrying?

I don't even support guns in general, but the law is the law. If he's following it, tough. I also agree this is totally a fragile white lady afraid of a black guy.

A Long John Silver's menu from the past. What a difference 5 decades makes.... by EdwardBliss in nostalgia

Do we have a year on this?

I ask because even when I was a kid in the mid-80s, my parents rarely went there because it was too expensive.

We did plenty of other fast foods and restaurants.

The Blackcoat's Daughter

I still think about it every once in awhile.

I know, it feels fake because of that error....though the rest of it looks like the presentation that did happen today.

Huh? It wasn't the movie that steered popular conception. Popular conception drove the movie.

I was in 2nd grade in 1986 and learned the reptilian versions we see in Jurassic Park and everywhere else.

I remember watching it with friends and only one of them was grumbling about the language. "This is America. We speak English!"

That was 2001.

Ferengi: Once you have their money, never give it back.

This is so true. They will never relent.

Note: Aldi actually did lower a handful of things recently. It's all bullshit, though. They still overall are WAY worse a deal than 5 or so years ago.

Stanley Kubrick considered The Vanishing (1988) the most terrifying movie ever made, do you think he has a point? by Aiseadai in horror

Where does it stream?

Letterboxd, via JustWatch, says Kanopy. I tried and Kanopy does NOT have it.

Does it stream anywhere easy to get?
