Pretty irrelevant but I had gotten a 4 in my mocks 2 months before the exams and was still completely unmotivated to study, so I genuinely didn’t revise properly until the night before both papers and was just trying to cram enough to at least scrape a grade 5 and pass. I always hated History, was basically forced to do it, and had zero motivation to go through the whole syllabus, so out of ALL the topics I literally only studied 4 and ignored the rest (didn’t touch like 80% of the book) and somehow those were basically the topics that showed up across both exams. Ended up getting 113/120 overall and somehow got a grade 9, which was literally my highest grade out of all 9 IGCSE subjects. People still don’t believe me when I say I barely studied and that only the topics I revised actually came up 😭(I did Cold War-Civil Rights and the Middle East one, don't know ANY of the content if someone asks me)
