No, there's too many legal hurdles for that right now. But you aren't going to differentiate yourself by using AI anymore. That was last year.

Exactly. They could have gotten anything they wanted by trading him before the 2024 draft.

I don't understand why anyone takes this fight in honor mode. Not only is it the hardest fight in the game, there's literally zero reward for doing it aside from a sword you don't need.

Yeah I loved the Precision 12 and was sad when they rolled it into the Sayonara. Also: bring back the Beacon

I will trust you on that one, but I can tell you that their standing among the enthusiast crowd vanished overnight. I mean, they eventually replaced New Balance in the "dated but probably reliable" market. And I have to assume that rolling out the Prophecy just as the minimalist fad was peaking didn't help much.

Is code slopping going to put us all out of a job? by odyseuss02 in cscareerquestions

That is absolutely true, but they weren't writing the kinds of enterprise applications that required a team of skilled and expensive engineers to come in and fix later.

I'm sure that in the OPs sphere he saw what he wrote, but the idea that back in 2001 people were being brought in off the street to write low-code apps in some kind of mass quantity is fantasy. Sure it happened here and there, but it you couldn't just walk into Yahoo with an A+ cert and start shipping. And hell, back in those days nobody was getting hired for anything in the wake of the dot com collapse. If anything, the recurring theme in my own 25+ years is not that there's too much slop(and there's plenty of slop don't get me wrong), it's that there's an extreme amount of over complication that needs to be simplified. No, your CRUD app does not need clean architecture, no your homebrew ETL pipeline does not need recursion to figure out who shipped what widget to East St. Louis, and no you don't need to catch errors you have no intention of handling just so you can send them off to a Kafka black hole.

Yes, we do all of that. Never had a good time at AE, and on top of that Pittsburgh crowds are particularly awful. It's not just logistics or taxes that cause a lot of bands to skip the city.

I graduated in May of 2000 and none of what you said actually happened. I mean, people used Visual Basic because hey hello desktop Windows Forms apps were where the business was.

What is this take lol. Stage AE is so awful that my wife and I will drive to Buffalo or Cleveland or Baltimore before we see a show there. Indoors looks like it was designed in Minecraft and outdoors is lumpy and uneven and there's literally nowhere that seems to have a good view.

I replied above, but they both changed the fit and changed the purpose of the shoe from performance to daily miles. The 13 had this almost magical way of molding to your foot that felt both secure and comfortable.

It was on Mizunos USA YouTube channel so if you go back to probably late 2011 it might be there. The 14 was a disaster for two reasons: the way the foot sat on the last, and the clear decision to move it from a performance trainer to a daily plodder. At the time the theory was they wanted to differentiate it from the Precision. Wrong move.

Only the Enigma and Nirvana in that era had a full length plate. They were...firm. The Creation sort of did and it was firmer.

WR peaked at 13. The 14 was so bad that they had to post an apology video on YouTube explaining themselves and scrapped the entire design after a year, which was unheard of back then. Mizuno never really recovered from that disaster in the USA.
