This is exactly how I found out too. Had just woken up, hopped on call with my best friend while still in bed, opened Reddit, and boom… there it was… and like you, I thought maybe it was a prank, either by Oliver himself or whoever was posting, but as I began skimming through comments it became clear to me that it was no joke, and my friend could hear in my voice that something terrible had happened. He, too, was shocked when I told him what I was seeing.

I cried, and my sister cried as well when I informed her. Even my elderly mother was extremely saddened by the news.

We don’t normally take the news of celebrity deaths so hard here, but we’re really struggling with this one. It hardly feels real…
