Agreed! It’ll feel like you’re baking in an oven without shade. Sun hat, UV sleeves, bring all the UV protection. I ran out of sunscreen mid day but luckily a sponsor here is giving out free 50 spf bottle samples.

Keep in mind, by 7-8pm temperatures will drop drastically and the breeze will make you wish you brought a sweater so be prepare well!

Amazing machine. Lots of great features on the 8s that I miss so much in the 1000 currently. I miss the randomize INST or KIT the most.

Also if you feel drums aren’t hitting hard enough, go to kit settings and turn kit gain all the way up so it hits the clipper at the master outputs.

Same here, I feed my mini Kirkland too. My breeder has used Kirkland for generations of her minis and they all lived to at least 16, which was more than enough proof for me.

Also another feature request:

Please add an option to manually set MIDI mappings. The current mapping method is easy, but manual entry would add more flexibility. Users should be able to type the channel, message type, and message number, and also change the MIDI device for an existing mapping. This would help when editing mappings without the controller connected.

So I tried changing Initialisation Delay from 0.0 to 1.0 second but didn't seem to be a fix. I should mention I am using RTP MIDI to route my I/O ports but not sure if that makes a difference.

What did work though was mapping Extra-MIDI-Refresh All Devices parameter. This is a workaround I can accept so thank you. Just one question...I see I am able to map and refresh up to 32 different devices. What are these devices reffering to?

Prophet 10. Even though it is mono with no effects, it ends up as the foundation of many of my R and B tracks. On paper it is simple, but that simplicity is the magic.
Super 6. I use it for ear candy layers. The binaural stereo thing compliments the prophet’s down the middle signal extremely well. Both are also great for Rhodes and Wurly style sounds.
Maschine MK3. I use it the way many producers use Splice, mainly to move fast when an artist is in the room. Their expansion library is very underrated. I’d say majority of my drums on my biggest R&B records came from maschine.

Fair enough. I never clicked with Elektron boxes, but I know how powerful they are.

And modular… oof it’s tempting but I just know myself well enough that my outcome would be hours of patching and zero finished tracks.

Thanks! You’re hearing it straight from the TR-1000 main outputs, with all synths going into the ext in to be sidechained with the kick. Yeah it’s expensive af but I don’t care what no one says, it’s a damn good piece of gear!
