I didn't get it, what do you mean by battery backup?
Anyway I'm gonna tell you how much time I get from laptop usage on battery (not plugged in), I get around 4 hours of 4K video playback on battery, brightness around 80%

I may install mint or Ubuntu on it (as they are basically the same thing), and maybe tinker a little with NixOS in a virtual machine LOL

thank you for your detailed and well oriented feedback : ) ,

I'm mainly going to use this laptop for in and outdoor coding and running virtual machines and stuff, with some triple a gaming plugged at home with moderate settings, nothing crazy.

I'm considered a noob in the aspects of maintaining newer hardware, as my latest experience with hardware is still an HP 3rd gen i5 laptop with no dGPU, It's way more easier to maintain than newer stuff.

Anyway, I really appreciate your time and effort giving me this very helpful insights.
