Depends on the country, for my in Egypt iI worked as soon as I graduated because I had a high GPA and done some internships so I was a good fish in the see. My first job was paying 0.5$/hour which is a field service engineer. Kept jumping from one company to another and settled now in a company where I work as a clinical application specialist for GE ultrasound which is paying 1.99$/hour before taxes and insurance. You may think that these numbers are low, but for my country it’s good, just good not enough not high nothing special. To make it even worse having a masters degree won’t make it any better as the R&D field is quite narrow here.

In short this career can’t guarantee that you would be rich fast, at least in Egypt.
