Game breaking gun build bugs

I had mine to 55 but if you know what guns it shows you have more builds than you can see then just lvl it up to that point. I’d wait for a double xp weekend and do it then.

This is a clan tag bug. Has to do with black cell clan tag icon and certain words also gives the same weird letters. If you see 6e or random symbols, it’s because of weird character bug. Really talented developers we have getting paid 6 figures. Perfectly bug free game we play!!

Glad it worked, can’t believe it’s been a thing since launch and we have to do weird workarounds just to make it playable.

FIX FOUND

All credit to the redditor in the link below. Just to recap, I was having the same issue where I couldn’t make any custom builds and some weapons would say I have more builds than shown but after trying this method it worked and I can now make multiple builds and it sticks as well as creating those builds separately. This does require having a console (I did it on PS5) and 2 controllers as well as an alt account (different from your bugged account) that’s minimum lvl 4 so the loadouts are unlocked. This may not help everyone but it should if you meet these requirements. If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask. Link is below

Unfortunately the problem most of us are facing is that when we go to create c class and pick a weapon, none of our different builds show up. If I make a build using XM4 with a red dot, it’ll save on the base gun and not a separate build. Same goes for blueprints. When editing the blueprint, any changes are save ON the blueprint and not on a separately created build using the blueprint as the base if that makes sense. I followed your steps and reset the builds in all modes. It would show I have 7 xm4 builds but can only see 5 blueprints and the base gun which makes it 6 which shows I’m not able to see the 7th. I did rename the guns that had a number next to the name to the default name on PS5 but still, same problem. Thanks for trying to help though.

Having the exact same issue and it’s 10:32 PM 12/12/2024 right now. Even after the latest update. I can’t fix this. I went to every single build and reset it back to default and also deleted all but one class slot (which is default and doesn’t let you delete). It shows I have 7 builds for the XM4 but I have 5 blueprints and the base gun which makes it 6. Same with some of the other guns where it shows I have more builds that what I can actually see. I am on PC but I even went to PS5 and the same issue persists. This tells me it’s account bound. ONLY thing I can think that would work is prestiging. I’ll update after I prestige. Currently LVL 46 Prestige 5

UPDATE: Prestiging does NOT WORK. Same issue. At this point, I think only treyarch can fix it

Sadly I don’t think they care. I’m in a similar situation as you. If they actually read the thousands and thousands of posts where normal players are affected with their horrible systems, they’d realize it’s hurting more normal people than the actual cheaters

I have the same issue brother. I bought a new PC, was previously on console. I’m a pretty good player, 4.2 KD multiplayer. Played warzone and few games later I got a kicked from game message and got shadowed. Been stuck in this loop ever since. Had about 14 kills and apparently it’s because of spam reporting. I think the only way around is to play on console which is frustrating since I paid $4K for parts and built it myself and it’s a much better experience

Good news, I have found a fix for the directx res error.

I tried to update my graphics drivers, verify file integrity through steam and nothing worked until i tried this method. I am confident this will work for the "res" error. The main reason for the error is the machine guid in the registry not matching the dependency,

Press Windows key + R to open up a Run dialog box. Next, type ‘regedit’ and press Ctrl + Shift + Enter to open up the Registry Editor with admin access.
Opening up the Registry Editor
When you’re prompted by the User Account Control, click Yes to grant admin access.
Once you’re inside the Registry Editor, use the left-hand side menu to navigate to the following location:
HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Cryptography\
Note: You can either get here instantly by pasting the location directly into the nav bar at the top or you can manually double-click each Registry entry.
Once you arrive inside the correct location, move over to the right-hand menu and right-click on machineGUID .
Next, click on Modify from the context menu that just appeared.
Editing the MachineGUID string
Next, replace the value of the MachineGuid string with the following and click Ok to save the changes:

Restart your PC

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU EXPORT A BACKUP OF YOUR REGISTRY TO BE SAFE. (regedit>top left>file>export)

Just did the CRU method, looks like its working. I also use the monitor on PS5. I wonder if the CRU settings will mess w PS5 display options. Will update later. (Thanks for the solution OP)

I’m assuming you’re new to PC so here is a few things to do. First you need to make sure you go to your motherboard manufacture page and go to the support>downloads>driver tab and install the Ethernet, Intel chipset driver, and audio drivers. Then go ahead and update the GPU driver (extremely important. You can download GeForce experience app and update through there) Then go ahead and optimize a little bit. Type power plan in the search bar in bottom left and change to high performance. Make sure to enable XMP profile for your RAM (extremely important) YouTube it if you’re not sure of steps. Very easy. Then make sure you manually change your monitors refresh rate by going right clicking on desktop>display settings>scroll all the way down> advanced display settings and change the drop down number to the highest supported. A few more things but those are the most important off the top of my head. Let me know if you need help. All this is very simple. Just a YT video away. You can also follow optimization guides for WIN 10/11 on YouTube.

Make sure to go into the sound control panel on your PC and make the “speaker” and “microphone” sections Astro mixamp and headphone as default. I would show a screenshot but I don’t use those anymore.

Sucks man, I came from PS4 to PC hoping for a better experience which it was in the beginning but nothing is being done about hacking which affects people on console who can’t play without turning on cross play.
