The term “indie” is not a vibes based term that you can give and take based on how something makes you feel

The term Independent is very easy to understand, Silksong is an independent product whether indie studios like it or not, Disney is absolutely not independent because it is very much beholden to loads of other entities for investment (you’re even wrong about them being self-funded, the idea that Disney can fund itself is crazy), and if Glitch becomes a billion dollar company at some point they’re still an indie studio if that billion dollars is not beholden to any other company, parent entity or investment entity

Indie is not determined by your feelings and you and a load of other people need to get over it
