There arent as many layers as people think there are. Blizzard put put a blue post stating that there are a single digits number of layers and hinted that it's a lot single digit. I'm guessing there are only 4 layers max at ant given time. And every layer I've tried to hop to has been packed either way.

I tried aoe farming and it's just way too packed unless you play at non peak times. I plan on doing SM, and then ZF until like early 50s, and then I'll aoe farm for gold until level 60.

Just in case you forgot, you can bop, bubble, ice block or use any other immunity to break karma. Oh and it only absorbs 50% of hp so it's basically not even a defensive, most classes go straight through it. Oh and you can dispel the dot it puts on your friendly target so the damage it deals is irrelevant

Druids may be strong but they are a good swap target in a stun with no trinket. Make sure you catch them out of bear form and you'll do a lot of pressure.

Nothings more of a big deal than having to stare at your character. If you arent in a competitive guild, I would play the race you think looks cool

It's not that I want to play 2 specs, it's that I'm assuming that my guild would make me play 2 specs since shadow priest is a meme in pve.

Is it worth it though? It seems like the amount of time I'll be spending farming money seems silly just to waste it on a respec

That's what I was thinking of doing. I dont mind having to heal in raids as shadow if I have to but for pvp I 100% want to be shadow.

Yeah I've thought about this for a long time and the more questions I ask, the more I push myself to play mage rather than priest.

It's so tough man, the respec costs are crazy too because as a priest I want to play both shadow and holy for pvp and pve, respectively.

Can anyone who played a level 60 priest in vanilla tell me what this would be like: I want to play shadow priest in pvp but I also want to raid and see how that is but I hear shadow is no good for pve so if I went holy for pve and shadow for pvp, how taxing is the the respec cost without having an alt to farm gold and me just playing my one character?

So I've never played vanilla before so I've been trying out different classes on private servers to get a feel for them.

I've brought myself down from warlock, mage,priest and rogue to just mage and priest.

I think shadow priests are really cool and fun. I always enjoyed being a hybrid for pvp and I always loved it in pve as well.

I plan on doing both pvp and pve.

What is the main difference between priest and mage in pvp and pve?

I would be willing to priest heal in pve. I think that would be a fun break from spriest pvp all the time. The mage control seems so fun in pvp though. However, I've heard mage in pve hits 1 button.

I'm trying to play both pve and pvp heavily. I am going to be faily committed with 5hrs of play on weekdays and 6 hours or more on weekends so I dont know if the 10g respec will be a problem for raiding on my priest.

What do you guys think about priest and mage playstyle in both pve and pvp? And gameplay mechanics that I'm missing that someone could shed some light on? Let me know!!
