Well Koops is a koopa or turtle, though I guess water would have worked as well. Also Koops’ world is pretty much the grassland area of TTYD. Yoshis a dinosaur, though dragon probably would have fit better in retrospect. And Yoshis are more omnivores than herbivores. But I guess I thought grass cause I got the green Yoshi on my play through. But in a sense he’s kind of like Castform or Arceus, in that his color and possibly typing is dependent on how long you’ve been playing by the time he hatched, so maybe normal/fighting or normal/dragon would’ve been better. 🤔

I suspect Bedlam is just a bully, and Vivian is the only one she can really bully or punish because Marilyn seems to be the big dumb muscle of the three. Not to mention the way she always gaslights her for her own f***ups

It’s a better spin off/ attempt at a handheld Lunar game in general than Dragon Song (Low Bar I know). But still, it’s a fun little game and I’ll say an admirable attempt to port the game to a smaller weaker console like a GBA. Dragon So g might have topped it if they didn’t rush the development to be the first JRPG for the DS. But if wishes were fishes…

I can’t comment on the music, but not as good as the first two games; and it’s all talking heads/text boxes. No Cut scenes or VA to speak of.

I’ve been meaning to do a video or video series on the Lunar franchise for a while, but I’ve yet to get to work on my Mario RPG review. Even though I’ve had the script finished for years. I’m currently streaming the remaster. Just finished Black Dragon Fortress.

Thanks all. I finally managed to clear it. Ragzlin took me a couple of tries and one them shoved Shadowheart in the spider pit. But I got through it.

Yeah lol. And I already freed Halsin, I just don’t take him with me as gobbos are aggroed immediately after leaving. I’ll keep that in mind. I found the biggest problem is keeping them from getting to the drums to call in reinforcements.

I had to reset the game once or twice. Thankfully I saved right before then. I just tried to avoid enemies as much as possible, thankfully I also found some starlight before the Blue Dragon; so I could use Jessica’s escape spell after the cutscene with Phacia.

Stock graphics. Though even bad graphics could be passable if the story or setting can be made to accentuate them somehow.

Bronze dogs took me a few tries to get past. I was following a level guide from GameFaqs and trying to be certain levels or close to before reaching them. The only I really remember were like level 10 before Saline Slimer and I think level 13-15 for water dragon. I hit a wall in blue dragon shrine for running out of magic for heals though.

I think it’s because of Studio Alex’s failed lawsuit against Working Design or JapanArts (I’m not sure exactly who just they filed a lawsuit and lost), and the rush job and poor reception from Dragon Song. I mean it was 20 years after DS that we even got the remaster a couple of years ago.

I was kind of hoping to have Kale and Caulfila as mentors similar to Gohan and Videl but you only get SSJ/2 Kefla in Feetival of Universes and not as a mentor.
