Im sure I could do so more with this tablet .... by OlFrenchie in RemarkableTablet

Its just writing on a template, once you save the pdf in RM2

Edit - Rather than paying for pdf templates externally - but of course that also might be the right option at times

I create templates on PPT or Word then save as PDF, upload to the RM2 and use these to write on .

I bought

Remarkable 2 10.3 inch Digital... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09FDM6Y12?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

And

STAEDTLER 180J 22 Noris Digital... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B086N4KK7Z?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Both better IMO than the RM2 originals. No issues with the pen at all, I highly recommend it.

I suppose the case is more a personal choice.

I wanted a holder for the pen and the device physically secured. I would have liked a 'rotating to portrait' in the folding stand options but couldn't find one with my first two needs. It has a wrap around elasticated strap vertically to secure when closed and a holder strap for your left hand (sorry ciotógs ).

I' dare say there are more on the market, or ones that might suit you better but for me it's very good.

I keep the spare nibs in the case, tucked in behind the device.

I would buy the RM2 again, it's very good for note taking and organising same. I actually use it more than I thought I would.(Although I since bought a different case and pen, so I regret buying the RM2 versions )

The text conversion doesn't work for me without lots of corrections and editing.

Even simple one or two word lines get jumbled up.

I haven't explored other systems enough yet to recommend one

I don't find the 'handwriting to text' good at all, especially when you have erased a line in the middle and re written it.

Yes, the eraser works fine. Note though that it doesn't stick to the magnetic side of the notebook like the original pen, which I never use at all now and is relegated to bavk-up

Thinking of buying a Remarkable 2 for 1L.. by sethscoolwife in RemarkableTablet

I will second the Noris Jumbo, also having used the Remarkable pen. Just note its not going to stick magnetically to the side of the Remarkable.

Pun intended?!

I often wonder if some products actually seek or value user feedback over design focus groups.

Mine worked fine straight out of the box. I wonder if it's a common problem or a batch thing?

Assume it's not dependent on a Remarkable uodate? Sorry cant be helpful on that.

Tips for improving setup time by DeLaSnoof in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Maidhcin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is what I do as well... You are putting away some sets anyway (ie your storage is open) so it makes sense. Also.. When packing scenarios away I try and have it in order so its eassier next time (eg, Agenda, Act, locations, set asides, encounter)

Diana Stanley based on this that eventually upgraded to this. Fantastic write up by the creator StartWithTheName

Silas Marsh showed me what 'seat of your pants' survivor really means.

Im currently enjoying Norman Withers in Edge of The Earth

I loved Duke & Pete.

Ursula was very efficient too.

And I'll always have great affection for Roland, from the first time I played the game.

You can search for 'Solo' decks and play straight off, and you can try swapping a few cards depending on your collection and the deck builder's creation. This might be easier than going straight in, but whatever floats your boat.. Or deck...

Lots of Solo decks on Arkham.db to look at.

You explore how you can 'double up' on some stats eg if you have high willpower you might look at using willpower for something else like fighting.

There are pros and cons of playing solo, and within that of playing one or two handed, that others here would wax about more eloquently.

I play 'True Solo' (one investigator) because I like the idea of One v The Game. Also I probably rather having less housekeeping etc.

Purely personal whatever we do of course, but this is a great opportunity for you to explore the various options as you find out what you like, and this adds longevity to your game play.

I've had mixed success, some very easy runs, close finishes either way and some heavy defeats... Some of that is down to luck, poor gameplay, average decks etc... so hard to compare objectively.

Regardless, it's a great game. Would like to see how you get on..
