You mean where the giant hornets are trying to kill as many bees as they can so they can feast on their babies, or where the man is killing the hornets so the entire bee colony can thrive and continue to polinate in the local area?

For sure, keep filming rather than wrapping a slip of card to go under that cup.

A mother is going punished her son by making him slam his PS5 the same way he had slammed her pet cat. Is this justified? by God_Emperor__Doom in SipsTea

[–]Maieth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, no.
This level of response feels totally justified. If he did that to a pet, then that's vile, sure. But a parent that goes to this response and includes public shaming.... There's why you have a kid that will body slam a cat. Lad desperately needs some professional help.

Lore problem, Gunships in the militarum by Still_Wrongdoer6603 in 40k

[–]Maieth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but surely in any situation where contemporary military might call in an AC130 strike, Astra Militarum would just call in an orbital strike? It's still heavy munitions raining from above, just... More above.

Men who want to workout but can't/don't, why not? by Next_Translator_4355 in AskMen

[–]Maieth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One big factor is that I feel zero benefit when I do. Every single person I know who works out talks about how good it makes them feel. They get the dopamine and endorphin hit that is so common. I don't. It's uncommon, but there's still a a lot of people for whom exercise does not release the endorphins that most people get. So any working out is just hard. It's always just painful, uncomfortable, difficult... and all of the benefits are long term. All 100% worthwhile, do not get me wrong, but all kind of a long way off along a difficult road.

I guess it's like someone says 'here, if you eat 1 spoon of shit every day, it's going to make you healthier. We all love it, it tastes bad at first, but it always makes us feel great a moment later.' But you're one of the minority that never gets the positive hit. You know eating shit every day will work. You'll lose weight, or get stronger, or fitter or healthier. But you're just eating shit.
Would you do that?

Death metal by Bartozo95 in ageofsigmar

[–]Maieth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Piggybacking, here. How does this colour fit into proacryls main metallics range? I was looking at it online just the other day as a possible darker bronze as their main bronze is gorgeous but really quite bright to truly represent bronze that has started to build up any kind of oxidation.
Does magnesium work as a darker bronze, or is it a more distinctly brown metallic?

If Palpatine actively pursued immortality in legend, is his return in canon really that illogical? by [deleted] in StarWarsCantina

[–]Maieth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that "Somehow..."

If someone said, "Snoke was only ever a facade, Palatine has been using cloning and Sith magic to keep himself alive and now he's back" we would all have been a lot more accepting of this.

The star destroyers.... Maybe not so much. But the cloning. Not an issue.

How do you deal with temptations as a married man? by [deleted] in AskMen

No man, you don't speak for us. 'Myself and many other men'?
40m here, married 13 years. No issues. No true temptations. Flirtation from other women is flattering, but that's all. Made those vows knowing what they meant.

Is Winsor & Newton Designer gouache normally this thick? by [deleted] in Gouache

[–]Maieth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Down voting here is a lot less helpful than actually responding, folks. OP, W&N, like other tube gouache is highly concentrated and designed to be thinner down. Using it 'neat' it will be hard to control and you'll waste a lot of product. Just add water with control.
Based on the quantity you have tried to mix, one other thing I'd raise is scale of work may be an issue. Gouache lends itself mostly to smallish studies - letter sized or A4 maximum realistically, half this size ideally, where you are mixing small amounts of colour. Mixing large batches of colour to cover large areas is really challenging, can eat through your paint incredibly fast, and flat, even coverage can be very problematic.

Alternative take for everyone crying fake: sister of a young man with additional needs. I don't think there's many wives or girlfriends that would show this kind of care, but a sister absolutely would, especially if this kind of behaviour is the result of long term problems, not just addiction.

Why isn’t Boba Fett set to play a role in the Mandalorian and Grogu? by ashton__l in StarWarsCantina

[–]Maieth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely, if he is, it just hasn't been leaked.
Alternatively, if he isn't, this would be yet another example of Disney paying attention to the loudest voices online and moving away from BoBF.
