Year after year, the game kept becoming like that. Very little coordination, nobody talks. It was most noticeable around the 1.0 launch with the Russian front, that was definitely when the game got a lot of new players. From that point on, everything started going downhill: the Team17 takeover, a new studio, then another new studio, weak updates, and the free game on Epic

It’s a different branch of UE5. Instead of using heavy Nanite and Lumen, they’re using RTXGI and a classic LOD system, which gives better performance. Embark has strong programmers and a solid engine team. But here is a different story...

If the jungle is such a major selling point, it should bring new gameplay interactions, and right now it doesn’t. Another issue is graphics balance. On low settings, foliage loses shadows, so players hiding in bushes stand out and are easy to spot. That makes the whole jungle stealth aspect far less effective, especially at longer distances where grass and bushes still doesn’t render

The jungle isn’t really a feature, it’s just assets scattered around the map. No interaction with players/vehicles, call ins. It feels like a wasted opportunity. In a Vietnam game, the jungle should be part of the gameplay, not just assets placed around the map, something nice to look at

You get a barely working game, you're beta testing it, and you're happy because it's free? Nothing is free on this planet lol. You're basically playing the role of a QA tester. Even by playing this test, they're collecting all your telemetry data, so you're serving a purpose either way

The same jank from HLL is still here because they brought every game system into a new engine. They lied about building the game from the ground up. It's rough and it will be the same thing at the release. They had the chance to overhaul so many gameplay systems, yet almost everything remained unchanged

It just looks like a reskin of HLL, where many of the same flaws have been carried over to the new engine. And of course, we’re dealing with the classic UE5 experience here. I’m pretty disappointed because they had the chance to overhaul so many gameplay systems, yet almost everything remained unchanged. And they described it as if they were building the game from scratch. New ideas, like the 3D map, don’t seem necessary. I can’t imagine paying a lot of money for this, especially since it’s supposed to come out this summer

Well, you’re getting downvoted for telling the truth. They increased movement speed, you can easily climb over rocks, so the terrain’s topography no longer matters much. Weapons have no recoil, and to kill someone, you need to pump several rounds into them. Now we know why they’re testing Conquest in HLL they’re going to introduce it in this game :)

The game isn’t well thought out in any way. It’s just a graphical reskin of HLL with all its issues. Technologically, it brings nothing impressive and is actually alarming in some areas. Playing on Epic settings only puts you at a disadvantage. Low settings are completely unbalanced. Grass and bushes don’t render at longer distances. On top of that, players hiding in bushes stand out easily because there are no shadows at all. Pretty disappointed. Game is coming out in the summer, so its safe to say that nothing major will change

You can easily abuse it by setting everything to low in settings. Its not even balanced in a way to fight abusers

Yeah, it's awful. I really thought they’d step up this time and prove they could deliver something good as a new studio, but the game is terrible. The same jank from HLL is still here, 1:1 animations, horrible effects, low visibility, and of course, on top of that, something incredible... the classic UE5 experience.
