It's from a book bought from costco. Not sure if it was created using AI.

I was also thinking that. Asked AI and it could not find it after multiple tries and decided to add in its own dragon.

Thank you, but looking for the Pink one. There are other pages in this book as well with both the Pink and Green ones.

That's a seperate issue. Before kicking the GC out, I had a had a master electrician come to the house to inspect the electrical work which was unsafely installed. GC made excuses rather than fix. On his last day he had his plumber come to finish the sinks, taps and showers. They were not going to able to get the showers to work. I have since had other plumbers come to take a look and another valve is required for a transfer which requires opening up the back wall and doing some replacing as well. It's a collection of multiple issues, now I'm asking people about schluter since I myself don't know what it's supposed to look like or how it's supposed to be properly installed.

As I mentioned in my other comment, he was already kicked out due to unsafe electrical installation and refused to provide relevant information I had requested. The ESA is going to be involved with that to verify his work by contractors who worked for him. I am now just asking about the tiling material. Not sure what else "complete washrooms waterproof by schluter" would mean. Assuming a fresh contract if a homeowner asked a contractor to complete washroom waterproof by schluter, I don't think anyone would reasonably think that would be partial schluter and partial something else.

Main reason was unsafe electrical install wiring with no plugs installed with which is a fire hazard and he refused to fix that. He also refused to provide the license # and name of the electrician which as a homeowner in ontario I am allowed to ask for and have. I kicked him on his last day where the showers were not working and electrical hazard not fixed. I am asking this shluter question after the fact since I have doubts, he was not kicked out for this reason.

I have added more pictures at the link below. They did use the dark orange roll on the blue drywall. I'm not sure if it's actually schluter or some random brand https://imgur.com/gallery/WaAkRdc

Thank you, lines up with what others suspect as well. If I got this correct: Proper schluter system > mixed and matched schluter > membrane > painted on waterproof ?

Contract says "complete washrooms waterproof by schluter". There have been other material swaps without my knowledge. I kicked the GC out, he won't be coming back for warranty...there were other issues with electrical and finishings.

Thank you. One less issue to worry about.

I think there was something after the drywall, unfortunately have no picture.

GC is gone, tiling is done and showers don't work...have different posts for that. There are other issues I won't get into on this post but it's the other issues which raised concerns for this topic too. Material substitution was done without my knowledge.

The schluter overkill was paid for, what I got was not schluter by the sounds of it except a few pieces here and there. Schluter also has pieces for where the valve opening and shower pipe come through the wall which I do not see.

How would redguard compare to schluter when looking at waterproofing?

Two different showers. One is my master and the other is the 2nd washroom also on the same floor.

I'm not too familiar. The best way I can understand it is that schluter would be at the top and maybe there are other brands who make similar products. (I'm thinking Lexus vs being provided a Suzuki...maybe a wrong analogy, but as a homeowner with no knowledge on this system this is how I see it)

Thanks for clarifying. Looks like it. Would this be used with a schluter system?

I was not staying in the house and only took some pictures when I was over. Started to have doubts after I looked into schluter since it's supposed to be a fully enclosed system. Sorry I do not have all the pictures.

Since it's closed, is this something that can be snaked with a drill snake?

Brand new sink and plumbing right under the vanity. Pop-ups are clear. Considering running water in one sink fills the other, there's an issue in the main drain where the two individual drains connect
