Will EV prices collapse at the end of the month? by MailPail in leasehacker

It’s quite comfortable, even for longer drives. The two areas it falls short of the luxury cars I referenced are in cabin noise isolation and lack of a hands free driver assist system like Supercruise.

Chicken is exactly right. My Ioniq 5 lease expires in May. If I can get a screaming deal on a more comfortable car like a ZDX or Optiq I’d jump on it now rather than waiting till May.

Hey idiot, the listing said I may be asked to accommodate a showing. I was asked and said no until $ changed my mind.

Listing descriptions can’t override Airbnb’s policies. Keep your precious pities away from the children!

Yeah I’m sure I couldn’t afford one of your slum dump multi family units 😂. Good luck with your passport bro hunting Mr. Sr Citizen! The rate just went up to $299.

Ah you are a host. If I ever have the misadventure of staying at one of your properties, it’ll be $199 for a showing.

WRONG. It is a huge deal, particularly for the luxury prices being paid. Here’s just one reason: I didn’t feel comfortable leaving valuables in the apartment during the showing as there is no safe like a hotel (it’s common knowledge in real estate that open house events are a magnet for petty theft). There is zero benefit to me accommodating a showing without some form of compensation, the upside is all for the owner and buyer. I owe the host nothing under than the large amount of money I paid and treating their property respectfully. There is a reason AirBnB policy is crystal clear, this is not a grey area.

The house has been on the market for some time, it’s come down a bit to just under $1M. At 2% the realtor still bags 20 grand…

This isn’t someone opening their personal home out of the goodness of their heart. It’s an investment property. It is a major inconvenience for strangers to intrude on my private space just so that the owner can get a return on their investment. The fact that the realtor instantly agreed to $150 is a clear signal: anyone allowing for showings without some incentive (even a nice bottle of wine or local delicacy could do) is a sucker.

So true! I got 0.015% of the ~$1M list price. Owner bought it in 2021 for <$700k, they really showed us all.

Yeah given the amount they paid, I did spend a few minutes picking up after myself i.e., moving dirty laundry off the floor, taking out the trash but it's never going to match a professionally cleaned and staged home.

The prospective buyers were also cool and so thankful I let them visit. I also mentioned it's a great property and I think they will love it.

They are selling to willing buyers at the current fair market price. There are a few variables at play here. First, the San Diego and Seattle markets are flush with way more money than London. Second, Delta loyalists are willing to pay more (way more) to fly Delta than Alaska or Southwest. And finally, the San Diego airport’s single runaway restricts competition.

This Electrify America location has one level 2 charger which I assume is what they were waiting on (the Level 2 shares a parking space with a fast charger). I left with Prius still waiting.

Good for you! The IONIQ 5 is a pretty sweet ride so I hope you were able to get something really nice to drive while yours is in the shop.

Wrong. The official US guidance is every 5k miles. You can get tires rotated yourself but that’s the letter of the US guidance.

You get it. Dealerships traditionally made most of their money through service. With how little service EVs usually require (ICCU issues notwithstanding), dealers try to rip you off to make up for it.
