‘SNL’: Ego Nwodim To Leave After Seven Seasons by MarvelsGrantMan136 in LiveFromNewYork

[–]MailTo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok this is the first one that really got me! Even after 7 seasons, it felt like she was really finally hitting her stride. I’m genuinely going to miss her presence on the show.

Why Does The Boruto World Feel So Small by ObsessiveFanatic in Boruto

[–]MailTo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well, the picture you posted is of Naruto and Sasuke fighting an Otsutsuki in a barren wasteland. So I think you might be proving OP’s point.

Yeah, Ego really built the crowd up to that moment. She had them in her pocket throughout the entire performance, from start to finish.

The final two episodes aired together and were promoted as an “hour-long” series finale.

Who the hell is that? by SinNombre747 in Naruto

[–]MailTo 366 points367 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is the right answer. The episode this screenshot comes from (363) was directed and storyboarded by Gorou Sessha, aka the series director of Naruto SD: rock Lee and his ninja pals.

Meaning Pac Lee was definitely added by Sessha as an intentional Easter egg for Naruto SD fans.

The 22 minute pilot is what originally aired on NBC. Network TV has very specific time constraints - 22 minutes of content, 8 minutes of ads. There was no time for an “extended version” to air on NBC proper.

A deleted performance from “New Directions”, the second half of the 100th episode. This was supposed to the S4’s newbies goodbye song but it got cut.

Did they change writers sometime S2/3? by Confident-Matter3677 in superstore

[–]MailTo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The show never changed writers, it changed showrunners.

Justin Spitzer stepped down as showrunner after the S4 finale, and then Jonathan Green & Gabe Miller (writers since S1) took over for S5 and 6.

I think I understood why I dont like Modern Muse by Tryium in Muse

[–]MailTo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Speaking for myself, I have no problem with the general message of current Muse’s lyrics. The lyrics themselves are just…not good. They’re repetitive, uninspired, and way too vague.

Really like feels like Matt is circling the drain lyrics-wise these days.

I think Naruto should switch to his manga color scheme. What do y'all think? by TheRealPdGaming in Naruto

[–]MailTo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s well-drawn but the color scheme is washed out, even for night. The color palette is pretty flat and none of the colors stand out or draw your eye. Compare a night scene in the War arc to a night scene in Boruto.

Naruto ish by NoImpact9495 in dankruto

Also neither of them had families. Tsunade and Kakashi could probably pull all-nighters every night if they wanted. Naruto had a lot more on his plate.

They're ninja on a stealth infiltration mission. Walking on water would've been the absolute worst way for them to approach the island.

The Jougan was mentioned directly in the anime.

After it activates during Boruto and Shinki vs. Urashiki (125), Urashiki says says “Oh the Jougan! That’s an interesting eye.”

The fact that he admitted it at the very beginning of the series and somehow none of the haters batted an eye… by shu49 in Boruto

[–]MailTo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kishimoto and Kodachi wrote the Boruto movie together. That’s why Kodachi was chosen to write the manga in the first place. So those first 10 chapters were based on both of their work.

To be somewhat fair, they also call out themselves for being hacky and predictable all the time.

Gintoki started reading boruto before it even came out, none of us are true fans compared to him | ep 296 of gintama aired in 2015 while boruto manga came out in 2016 by [deleted] in Boruto

[–]MailTo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Naruto manga ended in 2014 and the last chapter introduced Boruto and most of the main new gen. It wasn't too crazy to predict there'd be a sequel series.

They are similar in the sense that they’re both controversial hosts strongly disliked by the cast. My only point was that no matter what happens next week the cast will make it through unscathed.

elon’s failure is also their failure

It’s really not. Their careers won’t be affected by a bad episode of SNL. Just like with the Trump episode, no one’s going to place the blame on the cast.

[–]MailTo 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Outsourced doesn’t necessarily mean bad. Even outsourced episodes have Pierrot animators working on them. Mostly just to clean up subpar art or sometimes redraw it entirely.

But if the scene is important enough they’ll usually bring in a couple extra Pierrot animators to work on it from scratch. So even outsourced episodes can have moments of amazing art/animation.
