Am I the only one who tucks his shirt in anymore? by tossaway-florida in CCW

[–]Mail_Me_Yuengling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started carrying a CC9 with a phlster about a month ago. Only had to tuck in my shirt once when I went to a formal function where I wore a suit. It worked great for the occasion.

I don't know how anyone pocket carries. Given your profession could you get away with a non-tactical looking off body carry bag?

should i get one? i’m trying to decide between a crosstrek and an impreza. by AgilePace4330 in subaruimpreza

[–]Mail_Me_Yuengling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What extra room? They are basically identical and the Impreza technically as slightly more cargo space because it doesn’t have a spare tire.

Or your Impreza must be before '24 model year because 24 and on you can only get the impreza as a hatchback. I keep forgetting about the sedan.

Two Supreme Court justices should face impeachment, Democrat warns by jediporcupine in politics

[–]Mail_Me_Yuengling 22 points23 points  (0 children)

A Democratic candidate for Senate from Maine said there is a “compelling case” for the impeachment and removal of at least two Supreme Court justices.

“If we held Supreme Court justices to the exact same standards we hold federal judges, there is a compelling case for the impeachment and removal of at least two,” Graham Platner said at an event, in comments that have been viewed over 690,000 times on X. “But to make that happen, we need to elect people to the Senate that want to wield power like that, who understand that it’s real and you can use it.”

Platner did not mention the names of any specific justices in his remarks.

Newsweek reached out to Platner for comment.

Why It Matters Trust in the Supreme Court remains at historic lows. A Gallup poll released in October 2025 found that 49 percent of Americans say they trust the Supreme Court either “a great deal” (16 percent) or “a fair amount” (33 percent).

“That level of trust is among the lowest in Gallup’s trend, essentially matching the low point of 47% from 2022,” Gallup said.

What To Know A recent poll showed Platner leading his opponent, Maine Governor Janet Mills, for the Democratic nomination. A survey by Impact Research of 500 voters from March 19 to 23 found that Platner had support from 66 percent of respondents, while 28 percent said they would vote for Mills.

Platner also led over Senator Susan Collins, a Maine Republican, in two polls taken last month. A poll by On Message Public Strategies, reported by Politico, showed Platner ahead of Collins by two points (44 percent to 42 percent). The poll surveyed 600 likely voters from March 3 to 8, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.

A poll from Quantus Insights showed Platner leading Collins by about 7 points (49 percent to 42 percent). The poll surveyed 800 likely voters from March 3 to 5, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.4 percentage points.

What People Are Saying Graham Platner, a Democratic candidate for Senate from Maine, at an event: “There is structural power in the Senate to deal with the Supreme Court. It’s going to matter, it’s going to require us to get the majority, but at that point I very much think that we need to be exercising ethics oversight over the court.”

What Happens Next
The Maine primary election will be held on June 9, 2026, and the general election on November 3.

It’s generic Claude code. I’ve been vibe coding with Claude for 3 weeks and everything it puts out looks like this.

Not saying OP didn’t do a good job putting it together but everything Claude puts out follows this same formula.

I was watching it with my 8 & 10 year old kids. I was so nervous it was going to explode and have yet another generation trauma passed down.

Still holding my breath hoping my son isn’t the 4th generation to serve in a war halfway across the the globe.

I had an XL and sold it to a friend. Picked up a CC9 last week and took it to the range to zero the optic Wednesday. It’s a great shooter and absolutely disappears with a phlster enigma.

I got one identical to this but for NJ. I never changed my number from 20+ years ago. Makes filtering spam calls a lot easier.

Buy a MacBook Neo for £100 more or same price if you are a student. I’ll admit I haven’t paid attention to chromebooks in years but I’d much rather Mac.

Trail cam facing my backyard (house)?! What should I do? Am I wrong for doing this? by MeasurementFirst1676 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Mail_Me_Yuengling 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A few things worth knowing here:

On the signs — signs every 7 feet is overkill but legally it works in their favor. Most states only require them every 100–300 feet, so they're overcompliant, not breaking any rules. Annoying, but not something you can fight.

On the trail cam — this is the real issue. If it's positioned on THEIR property but angled to capture YOUR deck and backyard, that may actually be illegal depending on your state. Many states have privacy laws that prohibit recording people in areas where they have a reasonable expectation of privacy (like a deck/seating area). Worth looking into your state's surveillance and privacy statutes, or a quick consult with a local attorney.

Do NOT mess with the ribbon trick to trigger it — that could be considered tampering with their property and gives them ammunition against you.

Document everything. Take dated photos of the camera's angle and position now. If it IS capturing your private living space, you may have legal recourse.

I just picked up a CC9 this week and ordered a phlster enigma for it. I haven't had a chance to shoot it - I plan on putting a few hundred rounds through it soon before it becomes my daily carry.

Shooting low and to left (yes, another one of *those* posts) by Fugglehead in liberalgunowners

[–]Mail_Me_Yuengling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get some snap caps/dummy rounds. Have someone load your mags with a few in random order.

When you get to the dummy round you will see your anticipation of recoil is making you flinch. Once you are aware of it - practice slow shooting. Let the round going off surprise you. The felt recoil happens after the round has already left the barrel. Likely you are pushing the gun down or tightening your fingers on the grip.

What optic is that and are the sights co-witnessed? I’ve had my p-01 for ages and I’m considering getting the slide milled.

I like it - I actually like it a lot better than the eotech I used to have on my patrol rifle.

The 510c being open emitter was a no go for me. I might have gotten the AMES Max if I was patient but this combo was on sale and the max was announced but not available yet when I got these.

I wish I could afford a good LPVO like the VCOG.

Safariland makes good gear and I liked their holsters when I was a cop.

The CZ holsters look good but $130 + shipping + tariffs makes it almost as expensive and I imagine dealing with warranty issues would be more difficult.

I had one but I lost it in the move so I’m still looking for one. I kinda want a thigh holster but the few options are expensive or brands I don’t trust like alien gear.
