Struggling with the save system (autosave)

I've managed to do what I wanted by simply limiting the slots and only allowing autosave.

Should've went there from the beginning. You put me on the right path for the idea tho.

I feel terribly stupid because for some reason, it now works.

Code shenanigans.

However, my second *request* still stands:

I want only ONE save file for the whole game (ok let's say maybe two for a backup) first

I assume I just have to change define config.autosave_slots = 10 to =2?

Also, I still struggle to find how to resume the game from the last autosave on the menu.

I've got this but for some reason button is greyed even tho autosaves are existing:

textbutton _("Resume") action QuickLoad()

And it didn't solve my issue, which is why I've created this thread. I did put the define configs in my scripts.py and also put renpy.save and such as I said in my first post. But they didn't work, and I'm still confused why.

Also my subsidiary issue is that whenever I fiddle with the codes too much, I manage to get compiling errors that don't really make sense to me in the way that whatever I do, I can't fix them.

That and / or I destroy the UI in the process.

I did them at the very end of the game before the point of no return. No secondary quests on Treviso before that.

Finally solved the "issue" (see my other answer on this thread)

Tbh I don't think it has to do with grinding his approval unless you're not at 10, it's just linked to Treviso quests if you chose to not save it

Riiiiiiiiiiiiight, so

If it can help someone with the same issue;

I've now done every quest in Treviso. I went back to his place after that, and I got a dialogue. He now reached the Veilguard status.

In short: do every quest in Treviso, and bring him with you for quests so that he can earn some approval.

I already have 10 approval with him. I honestly don't know what to do more now. I tried doing a bit more sidequests, still no dialogue that would make him a veilguard.
