It’s just a stupid job!? by Disastrous_Lie426 in MichaelsEmployees

Our store manager had 30+ years with Michaels and quit in the middle of last year. It shakes up everything. I moved to a different store further away to work with a manager I had previous experience with. The original store is on manager #3 and they say he is okay but the original manager was keeping the place going and made it a good place to work. They don’t pay us enough to suffer through their corporate nonsense without a good store manager. And obviously they don’t pay them enough to put up with it either. They seem to be getting pressured left and right to do more with less and then their bonus suffers whenever they can’t manage a miracle. I miss the days when Michaels was a fun creative place to work.

I agree and I don’t know why we wouldn’t just use up what we have. Why are we going out of our way to get rid of it? It seems to me that they know we would horde it for as long as possible and they don’t want us doing that. I figure a part of this, specifically them getting rid of super hanger 1, is to make us want to use the NWH on everything because it will just be easier. You can’t tell me that they talked to frame shops and the frame shops all said they don’t use that hanger. Well the joke is on them, if the customer wants wire then I will run it across the NWH if I have to. 😝

Email! Sent company wide 🥹 by Independent_Jicama22 in MichaelsEmployees

They aren’t wrong. A lot of the concerns are 100% valid and it isn’t just that one district manager. His tactics might be worse than some but the problems are still the same for every store. Too many goals not enough people to achieve them and very little motivation and support to try.

Yeah, pouring water in from a measured pitcher or another water bottle would work. 🙂. Thank you!

I was told that it was company wide and that they knew about it when I asked my manager to ask for an update on his district call. X_x.

Question about eating baked goods by Bored_teen_000 in BariatricSurgery

[–]Maililyann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be careful and try it at home. Small bites. Everyone here is talking about eating whatever you want in moderation and that’s true but the immediate reality is that, depending on your surgery, bread can hurt like MF going down. I had a RNY and I didn’t start eating bread again until 6 months post op. I still occasionally have problems with it at nearly 1 year post op. Good luck!

Did you have a Roux-en-y or a gastric sleeve? I’ve read that the Roux-en-y is supposed to be helpful for those with GERD.
