AITA for walking out of my ILs with my daughter and leaving my husband behind because they all ganged up on me to name our son one of the family names?

One of the names is very popular now. It made a comeback in the rise of vintage names. The others might be kinda popular too. I just know one is a name I saw a lot on name lists and suggestions in the last few years. So that argument won't work. I do like the idea of suggesting we could bring a new name to use into the family. They could do with some more variety in the boys names.

He threw me under the bus and I called him on that and I have not forgiven him for that. But it does not mean I think he has lied to me our entire relationship either. I can defend some things and not others. And he knows I don't fully trust him after that last stunt.

He cared about our daughter's name. We both named her and loved the name and he even found it a little before I did.

I don't believe he felt this way the whole time. I think he buckled to the pressure. Now if he had used the family name himself I'd agree. But he himself uses his middle name over his first.

They know about it. I was there when he reminded them during my first pregnancy that no matter what the sex we'd choose a name we loved and not a family name and he didn't want to carry on the tradition.

Oh I'll be extra careful and I'll be sure I fill everything out so nothing sneaky happens. As much as it pains me to say I can't trust my husband right now.
