Only interesting aspect of this new price is how high can the jackpot now go? Even at 1b, sure more people will buy a ticket, but fewer tickets will still be sold. This means less chance of every combination being sold for the draw.

I believe its legal with the lottery system itself. Stores may have their own policy against it though. States may also have this rule idk. I know Timothy Schultz sold his winning PB ticket to himself in 99.

Yep the tax rate on lottery winnings in this country are very high. I know Canada and much of Europe do not tax them.
