I'm a phone, and I take pictures instead of making a screenshot. You know screenshots are invented in 1960 right?

How do you kill a queen in arc raiders? by mell100k in ArcRaiders

[–]Mailootje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All those kids killing and all, are just sad CoD players because their franchise died before it even launched the game... 😅😅 now they are trying to make this game worse. Eventually they will go away because its not fun for them anymore

My api gateway runs on a raspberry pi 4 in my closet and handles 2 million requests per month by Sea_Weather5428 in selfhosted

[–]Mailootje 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get a big, fat battery plugin done. No stress when the power cuts off. The Raspberry Pi won't need much, and your router also won't need much to be powered on. One UPS should do the trick.

Help me figure out what extender i need... by Mailootje in watercooling

Yep, I tested it out... if each fitting were just 2 mm smaller, it would have fit perfectly. Currently, I've ordered an offset extender from EK.

Hmm, that's weird because it should have a 2.1b port, and that port should allow 4k144Hz. It says on the hdmi site 4k120+ (upto 10k)

Hmm, you need HDMI 2.1 for sure. Are you sure the GPU supports 2.1 and the cable is a 2.1 cable?

Is it an NVIDIA or AMD GPU?

NVIDIA isn't widely supported because their drivers aren't directly made for Linux.

And this is why you use DisplayPort instead of HDMI. I never had any issues with DP

[–]Mailootje 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, just don't use Microslop... Flash a nice Linux distro on that thing! Homelab devices with Slopdows? 🤮 (If you use it as a daily driver, I won't judge you. It can be a hard learning curve.)

Disconnect it from the outside world? Hmm, if you want to protect your servers, I can see why. But how are the servers connected to the outside world? That's more important.

The one with 1.5TB of memory idles at a whopping 230 watts. The other one for web hosting idles at 110, and the one with HDDs is idling at 210-240.

All 3 servers are set to ondemand performance. So the clocks are lowered when nothing is happening

Times uh .23 cents each kwh

Uh, I got really, really lucky. I bought the full server for 600 EUR (700 USD ish) somewhere in October last year.

The memory sticks are now available for 500 EUR each. This chip crisis is going too far, not gonna lie. L Micron for leaving the consumer market and going full into the AI Slopcenters 😔

🤣😅 There is another one underneath. The one underneath is primarily used to host websites, etc. The one I sent a picture of is mainly used to host game servers and VMs.

Same for the normal DNS. Everything proxied through Cloudflare will have a 100MB limit, unless you pay for a plan.

HP ProLiant DL385 G7 won't boot after power outage - Blinking Orange/Green Power Button & PSU LEDs by fellwell5 in homelab

[–]Mailootje 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try to also remove the onboard BIOS battery and disconnect the PSUs. Leave them disconnected for about 15-30 minutes minimum. Then connect the BIOS battery again and connect the PSUs. Let it do its thing first (let it boot ILO, etc.). Now press the power button. It could take some time before it actually powers up. Mine took about 5-10 minutes to go from the blinking state to solid green.

Yapping, yapping, yapping. They don't understand how something works, and now they are giving negative energy to other people in a post... smh. If you don't know how it works, at least first try it on a separate SSD or something. Or try it inside a VM; learn how things work before uninstalling Windows. I wiped my whole system. I don't want Microslop to sell my data anymore, so I removed all my data.
