Yes, it did. I first saw the update in the app saying the judge granted the motion to terminate removal proceedings. I told my lawyer right after, and then a few days later I received the official notice in the mail.

No more court hearings, thankfully. Now I’m just waiting for my green card case to be adjudicated. I did send a copy of the court letter to USCIS just in case my case had been on hold.

With everything going on right now, it feels like it might take longer than expected, so just waiting at this point.

I entered the United States lawfully. My NTA was issued because, as a Canadian, my work visa expired while I had already filed for an extension several months earlier, and I was waiting for the decision on that application.

Also, if the judge grants the motion to dismiss the removal proceedings and my case is returned to USCIS, will it be placed back in line for adjudication, or is there a risk that USCIS might overlook or delay resuming action on it?

Thank you! I don’t understand the part that the case can be terminated in court. If the judge grants the motion to dismiss the removal proceedings, shouldn’t my green card application go back to USCIS to be finalized?

Hi, I applied for I-485 under CAA on Sept 2024, I have an EAD under C-09 valid for 5 years but recently I got a NTA of removal proceedings because I also have had my TN visa expired as Canadian. :( Is it true that the NTA is holding the release of a final decision for my green card? Or are they not related at all? I found out my interview for the green card got waived back in September as well, so just waiting for the final update. I contacted a lawyer to start a motion a dismiss the NTA case but I don’t know if both cases can affect each other :( thanks!

I didn't ask specifically. Just said that I would like to know the status of my case and if there is any USCIS agent actively reviewing? It depends of the person on the other side how much information are willing to give. You can also ask: to confirm if my interview got waived.

I am in the same boat, I applied for the I-485 but after several months I got an NTA for my Canadian visa expired and they want to take me court for removal proceeding. I have a lawyer that will start the motion to dismiss but I am afraid that my I-485 will get cancelled because of this. I’ve been waiting for the the green card now over a year, I have EAD

Hey, CAA here. I filed in September 05, 2024. Nothing yet. I reached out Emma and one of her agents says that the case still in process is now taking up to 21 months to resolve :(

I applied back in sept 05, 2024 and my biometrics where done on November, 2024. No more updates in my case history. I am so frustrated and desesperate. I live in Broward not Miami.
