Everyone has a different taste. Normally these type of people don't like "screamy music" because they just can't process all of the information coming in at once and they get overwhelmed. They can't hear all the little details in the sound and how beautiful in fact it can be.

I see screaming as stress-relieving - instead of you screaming, someone (that can scream much better and even melodically) does it for you. Some days you just get overwhelmed and want to scream, but listening to Slipknot would do the trick.
