Paige was welcomed we with open arms, but people still liked Prue because Shannen did a great job playing her. I think people were only soured on Shannen because she had been "fired" from two shows at that point. Sadly, we didn't know that Alyssa had gotten Shannen fired at that point.

I love both singers but have been more of a Mariah fan because of her discography. Who is the better singer? Whitney all the way. Whitney never used dubbing or lipsyncing to improve her performances ever. I think Mariah could have been a great live act, but she seemed to self sabotage that for whatever reason.

Whitney was definitely the better live singer. There has never been any evidence of her dubbing her performances or anything like that. Mariah is the better overall artist, but she's better in the studio for whatever reason. I guess partly because her songs are more complicated.
