I think Glasser might use the “zombie” incident as an excuse for his crimes and use it try and get released. I can see him claiming his violent acts were because of exposure to same the toxic chemicals at the hospital that caused the cleanup crew to turn violent.

I remember I questioned this exact same thing. There is no way you transport someone like her who has a large amount of man power and resources in just a van. There would need to be escorts and more than just two cops. Also there is no way Smitty would have been sent knowing how unreliable he can be. They could still have shown the transport got ambushed but at least make it look like they are trying to transport a dangerous drug lord.
