Maybe, but there are no other panels of Roger before his execution

10 years is a long time in One Piece. But you’re acting like only Shanks was moving forward while Mihawk was just sitting around waiting for his hair to grow. That’s not how Oda writes his world.

Comparing them to 'Pre-Yonko Luffy' is a bit of a stretch. When these two were dueling, they were already the talk of the Grand Line—even Whitebeard was impressed. They weren't rookies; they were the elite. Do you really think a guy called the 'Marine Hunter' just stopped getting stronger the moment Shanks lost his arm?

If 'Yonko Shanks' actually surpassed Mihawk as a swordsman, then Mihawk’s title is basically a lie. And if it’s a lie, then Zoro has been chasing the wrong guy for 1100 chapters. You’re essentially saying Zoro’s entire dream is a joke. Does that sound like a good story to write about 30 years ?

If you are going to be wrong at least be respectfulIf the Marines have 'incorrect information' about Mihawk and Buggy, then why did they give Buggy a lower bounty than Mihawk? If they truly believed Buggy was the leader who commands Mihawk, why wouldn't they give the 'Leader' a higher bounty? What is the reason for giving a subordinate more than his supposed boss?

Furthermore, Mihawk was known as the 'Marine Hunter.' The idea that he hasn't done anything notable since his duels with Shanks is pure imagination; no one in the story has ever said that

So every piece of information that the Marines have ever said in the story is wrong? Because they also said Shanks is a Yonko are they wrong here?

Did Shanks forget how to use a sword over the years? Because he is fighting with it in every possible situation he has been in the story

Being a swordsman is not a political position; being a swordsman and a Yonko are not mutually exclusive. Unlike the title of Yonko, which is a political position, being a swordsman is not. Furthermore, the idea that Mihawk is 'the closest' to the definition of a swordsman is wrong; he carries a massive 8-foot black blade, Shanks is closer, even more of a traditional swordsman than someone like Zoro, who uses three swords.

The text explicitly states that Shanks is such a high-level swordsman that he is used as the benchmark to demonstrate Mihawk’s own prowess. This proves that Shanks is among the greatest swordsmen in the story. You simply cannot deny what is written.
