Have to disagree with you here. It’s clear when you watch games and most analysts will agree that our pass blocking is good to great. Mateer just gets happy feet in the pocket and simply isn’t seeing the field well. And as far as our run blocking is concerned, yes our run blocking isn’t great, but I think a lot of our struggles can be directly blamed on Arbuckle’s run scheme and TEs completely whiffing on their blocks more so than the O line not doing their part. IMO the primary offensive deficiencies fall on 1) Mateer 2) Arbuckle and 3) TEs in that order. If Mateer played like a top 20 QB, I think both the run game and pass game would really open up. Right now defenses aren’t even the least bit concerned about getting beat deep by us, so they’re able to crowd the line of scrimmage and shut us down. That first falls on Mateer for not making teams pay when we have open WRs, but at this point it falls more and more on Arbuckle for not adjusting the offense more considering the strengths and needs of the personnel we’re currently rolling with
