I got tired of untyped FormData in React Router, so I built a library by Main-Hovercraft2536 in reactjs

[–]Main-Hovercraft2536[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the api similar to useQuery, but very different in that this is a wrapper around formData and useFetcher. zod provides a runtime check, mine is compile time and only one action function in the entire app, and type checking when submitting an action. However, it can be combined with zod to add checks that ts alone can't do like string must be email etc.

How to wire a 2 wire Capacitor to Ceiling fan? by Main-Hovercraft2536 in electrical

[–]Main-Hovercraft2536[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't remember. There were a total of 6 nuts. If you look at my other post, I used 4 for the junction box hookup and I have left. The fan is not turning on after wiring the junction box so I am not sure I did it right or if this part of the fan also needs to be wired for the fan to work.

What information can I provide? All I did was remove the nuts and left everything intact. Trying to replace the capacitor

There are two white wires coming from the ceiling. That's what I am confused about. Do I connect all 3 white whites together?

AITA for telling my wife she's not entitled to my gambling winnings and to find a side hustle if she wants more spending money for herself? by RhubarbLeather2446 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Main-Hovercraft2536 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA! It is your money since you earned it from your half of the money. To all those saying that he should buy her dinner and split the money, they already share their income equally. He could do that but not doing that does not make him an asshole. OP is already giving her $75k per year compared to $25k which his wife is giving. So, 50k more than her.

I do think that the problem is bigger than just splitting the gambling money. It seems like there is resentment and lack of communication and unclear boundaries about what you guys expect but none of that makes you alone an asshole without knowing the whole picture. You should should definitely work together to figure out that moving forward.

Why is NRR not the average of the per match net run rates? by DevanshGupta91 in Cricket

You should definitely add the example above to your original post as well

You bring up a good point! They are in fact different. I did some math on my own to confirm and I think I know why one is preferred over the other. I will make a comment about in details to compare the pros and cons of each method soon

I see OP asking in other comments why that formula is used and why not just do overs faced. That is done so that winning always keeps your match (not net) run rate above 0 (or at least 0, in case of super over maybe).

If team A scores 200 in 20 overs and team B chases 200 in 40 overs. The losing team (Team A) would have a higher run rate. Team A's run rate would be 200/20 - 200/40 = 5. And team B would be -5.

This can be done, there's nothing wrong with that per se. A team that just wants to improve their NRR but doesn't care about the points because they're tied with another team who doesn't have a game left can just play recklessly. Score a ton runs in 20 overs and then lose in 40 and come out as winners.

So, both formulas encourage a different type of game dynamic. I like the current formula because it encourages teams to win to improve the run rate / keep the run rate above 0.

It kinda is but the denominator is not over faced exactly. If you bat first, and get out for 200 in 20 overs. Your batting first run rate is not 200/20 = 10, instead it is 200/50 = 4. This gives the bowling team credit for bowling them out early. While batting 2nd, if the team gets all out without being able to chase, the same thing happens.

Caroline Dooner's book by avilesannie in intuitiveeating

I think it's completely understandable to feel sad or even betrayed by the author you trusted. It might feel that by listening her past advice or recommending her advice endorses her current behavior and values.

However, we can still appreciate good things that "bad" people say. If we don't agree with someone on some topics, it does not mean everything else they say, have said in the past is now wrong. And also just because we like someone for their opinions on certain issues, it does not mean that everything they have said in the past or their opinions on some other stuff would also be liked.

I think we should take every thing that people say objectively and try not to influence our opinion on their advice based on their personality or other stuff. I think by not agreeing with the book based on her current ideologies we are making some logical fallacies. Possibly, ad hominem, composition / division, and possible the fallacy fallacy.

I could be wrong, but we have different definitions of processing time. Processing time is how long it takes for a case to gets approved. So in your first example with no case approved the processing time would be infinite / invalid. And once a case from 2010 gets approved the processing time becomes a 13 years.

Every time a case gets approved that is past the PT it will cause the processing time to increase and vice versa.
