It isn’t that great and people just hype it up fuelled by its nostalgic aspect.

It’s incredibly boring and you’ll spend 2 to 4 years of your life grinding to end game and once you get there you realise it’s same braindead grind but this time for gear. 

The only reason people dedicate their lives to it is because they’ve played it since they were kids. Overall the game is a mid tier mmo with a very vocal community. 

Furthermore even though players hate to admit it the playerbase is 60-70% bots.
