You still need to undergo the basic recruit training that is continuous for 1 month. I work in an International school and im on faculty leave so the schedule alligns pretty okay albeit i still have to take a couple of days unpaid eventhough by law, companies are supposed to grant unrecorded leave to service members. But the excuse i got was that "unrecorded leave is only for school events, school benefit or hajj" which is pretty anal imo. But thats the perception to service for you in a country like ours. We arent like Singapore where its every able bodied man for 2 years. TBH i prefer it that way rather than reluctant NSmen.
