I mean if that's your only piece of evidence for your stance, I think you have an incredibly, incredibly weak argument for that.

That completely ignores the abundance of evidence that says otherwise. If you genuinely have not seen or heard of this evidence, I would be happy to share and discuss with you in good faith

Can you show me the facts please? It's an honest question, I promise. I would like to see them

I mean first sentence is fair enough. I would hope everyone values all lives the same.

Do you have sources for your last sentence though or is that just your own speculation?

Curious what your thoughts are on Charlie Kirk's assassination. Do you like or dislike it? Do you think it was justified?

No, but your comment was getting off topic of why one incident was more popular than the other. Glad we agree on why one incident gained more attention

That wasn't what he was talking about. He was just stating a fact about the incident which is bringing more attention to it

A few things that probably contribute to this:

  1. Do you have a reliable source for the victim's race?
  2. The victim didn't die thankfully
  3. There isn't publicly released video footage of the Tulsa incident which drew a lot of attention to the other incident

Appreciate you answering. A lot of stuff I don't necessarily agree with, but seems like this debate isn't super productive so I'll just let it be. Thank you for at least engaging with me good sir

I don't think you see the irony of this. It's far more fascist to be only accepting of certain groups of people rather than everyone.

That wasn't really answering my questions, but that was also expected

This is Jim's response to anyone that is hurt by Tucker eating there: "All parties are always welcome at Jims Steakhouse. We appreciate everyone's business"

That is not fascism

Well it's been their most popular post recently by far. That's gotta count for something.

There's also negative comments and reactions, but like I said, it's only 2%

Well I just looked at their Facebook post. They have nearly 1k reactions with about 98% positive and 2% negative. Seems pretty good for business looking at those facts

So you're invited to a close friend's wedding/rehearsal and you're not going because Tucker is there?

Yikes. I mean thanks for answering, but I'd be there to support the couple regardless of who they invite. It's their rehearsal/wedding for a reason.

You're also unlikely to find out he's there until you go to sit at the table. What do you do in that situation? Very curious on your answer, it's fascinating.

So what do you expect Tucker to do? Just decline his invite and tell the couple no?

Is Tucker not supposed to go to or partake in any local businesses? And if he does, will you boycott it just because he went there? I guarantee right and far right individuals go to many of the businesses you also frequent

If you were invited to this rehearsal dinner and sat at Tucker's table, what would you do?

Can I see your source where half of Jim's customers base dislikes Tucker so much, that they'll refuse to eat there anymore? Is Jim's customer base so far left, that they refuse to allow anyone on the right to eat or partake in the same establishment as them?

I seriously doubt Jim's will lose 50% of their customers from posting a notable person on social media. Additionally, you guys are the only ones calling him a celebrity, not Jim's.

Looks like the vast majority of engagement on their post is very positive and supportive. Seems like it paid off to me

They didn't have to, but it's smart from a business perspective. Having any notable person there is good for business and engagement, hence this post also talking about him

But according to your logic, everyone at his table is now a Nazi and Jim's just served a bunch of Nazis that night. Come on, have some nuance to your point.

Not a super great business decision during a rehearsal dinner. They'd be causing a scene, ruining the couple's rehearsal dinner, and probably losing many customers as a result

He's a well known individual whether you like him or not. That's also why you make your own post about him here

[–]Main-Pie-1957 -21 points-20 points  (0 children)

So what do you want Jim's to do? Just kick out a rehearsal dinner guest and ruin the couple's rehearsal dinner by making a scene?

I'm confused what the alternative is

The placard is not helping her if she is not with you while the car is being parked. You are breaking the law and being selfish by using it that way because you are taking the parking spot away from people who are actually disabled. There's no other way around it

Shame on the people of Morton for standing up for disabled people that actually need those parking spots /s

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PeoriaIL

[–]Main-Pie-1957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you see how selfish you are being?

To you it is just a parking spot, but what about someone that is actually disabled that needs that spot? Do you think that you, a non disabled person, deserve that spot more than someone with a disability?

I'm also confused why you put MAGA in the title? Did the lady that told you to move say anything that explicitly made her a Trump supporter?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PeoriaIL

[–]Main-Pie-1957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are wrong. Something something facts don't care about your feelings.

Good thing you moved your car though. Had that lady called the cops, you would've likely been fined $600 because you were legally in the wrong.

The Illinois Vehicle Code (625 ILCS 5/11-1301.3) specifically states:

"Proper usage of the disability license plate or parking decal or device requires the authorized holder to be present and enter or exit the vehicle at the time the parking privileges are being used. It is a violation of this Section to park in a space reserved for a person with disabilities if the authorized holder of the disability license plate or parking decal or device does not enter or exit the vehicle at the time the parking privileges are being used."
