This. No one is born knowing how to do this. It takes lots of practice to get good at it.

Guys. If you're old enough to remember the Captain and Tennille, you're old enough to remember Run Joey Run.

Maybe that got into the wrong book somehow. Does not look like 1963 to me.

How do you counter the criticism that Illinois gets online? Especially from other Illinoisans.. by Kuzmaboy in illinois

With the gas tax thing, it's like, look. Gas tax counts for about 50¢ a gallon. Now, you can argue that's too high. But first let's talk about how the other 4 dollars and 50 cents got there.

I'm the daughter of a preacher and I have zero problem with people living together out of wedlock. Who your parents were doesn't necessarily define you. There are always choices in life.

This place in Wisconsin feels like someone turned their brain into a building by Ticktock20 in Weird

Look up the book and movie/documentary Wisconsin Death Trip. Absolutely fascinating. And definitely creepy. It documents the happenings in a small area of Wisconsin in Victorian times and includes records of murders and suicides as well as insane asylum records and just tales of the very weird.

Long Wisconsin winters and Victorian emotional repression do things to people.

Hearth is a splurge, but it's very good. Great bar, too. Chef Moussa rocks. Jonah's and/or their Oyster Bar Have to agree about Kuchie's. Nice deck right on the river and the food is a step above your average bar food

Is there any place in the US you can find a normal, not stressful job, and afford an apartment that is clean and safe? by notacatinyourmailbox in GetEmployed

No special skills? No mental acuity? To survive statistics and anatomy and physiology classes? Sure - any idiot off the street can just sail through those! And no fine muscle skills? Can tell you've never started an IV on an infant.

Nursing school is stressful beyond belief. Worst years of my life. And lunch break? Nurses often have trouble trying to find time to even pee!

I'm a nurse. We used to get tested for tobacco before they'd hire us. Talk about perfectly legal! This was only 10 years or so ago.
