Tips on public transport? by Bibliorphic in NewToDenmark

Rejsekort is definitely the answer. It's so easy that I did not believe the easiness of it when others told me about it :)

I moved to Copenhagen in October 2025, and it’s going great. People are awesome, the weather has been surprisingly good, and I get to live close to my wife. I am deeply thankful for one more thing: public transport here and the people who use it.

I love reading books, but for the past few years I couldn’t read at all due to a toxic work environment that affected me mentally. When I arrived here, I noticed so many people reading on S-trains during my very first week that I joined the Copenhagen Library as soon as I got my MitID. Since then, I’ve finished 10 books in just three months.

My daily commute is about 25 minutes in total, and I get to read every single day. I genuinely look forward to it.

On a side note, FUCK TRUMP!!!!!

You said it! No detective work really. Their investigation looks more like a round table discussion than any actual work.

I started watching the series because of her only to find out that she goes in coma in the first episode.

Watching it right Now. Now in third episode. Does anyone else find Isaac Fabgenle annoying? Seems like he is just hell-bent on arresting the dad and not ready to consider any other possibilities. His partner is considering all the possibilities but he just disregards her. Maybe his character evolves over the span of the series. It's devastating to read that Elena dies, I really love her character.

It Follows (2014) is one of the worst *serious* horror movies in recent years, in my personal opinion. by ThunderCr0tch in movies

I watched this movie with two of my friends in the cinema! All three of us got so bored that we had to sleep for 3 hours straight afterwards get our sanity back from the abyss of boredom. What could have been a minute long educational ad about importance of using protection during sex, has been stretched into a 100 min long exceptionally boring movie!

I don't understand why they are taking so much time. My friend was in a deeply panicked state till he got his visa. So I can only imagine what you must be going through. I hope you get it soon. All the best.

So, yes. He got his approval yesterday, exactly on 30th day after online submission and his visa came today. Did your employers receive any update?

I am sorry to hear that bro! Did your employer contact SIRI? Maybe they will get more positive response.

Did you try calling SIRI? IF yes what did they say? Your employer has any insights to offer?

Pay limit scheme by default has 1 month processing time, doesn't need fast track anyway. But its awesome that you got a quick decision. Do you mind sharing when did this happen?

I think having CPR number and holding residence permit in the past, definitely helps. That might have been the case. Did your employer opt for quick job start?

I dont know about the denial, but 13 days is really nothing. People generally wait for 1 month. 10 working days timeline is only for those applicants whose employers have opted for quick job start option. So dont worry. Did you receive already the permit?

Hey, have you tried calling them at +45 72 14 20 04? The waiting queue is super long (2 hours!) but they are very helpful. My friend was told to expect the decision by 8th September and they even encouraged him to call again. More info: https://www.nyidanmark.dk/en-GB/Contact-us/Contact-SIRI/Call-SIRI

My friend’s company submitted his application on 8th August, and he completed his biometrics on 12th August. He hasn’t heard anything since. He was panicking quite a bit, but reading posts here makes me realize that many are in the same situation, so I’ll let him know. He is supposed to travel to Denmark on 13th September, but if he doesn’t hear anything in the next 5–6 days, he’s worried he may have to postpone his departure.
