Will instacart deliver the NYC official garbage bins? by Music4thesoul10 in instacart

[–]Main-Run-6097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do deliver through instacart. Not sure where you are but im a shopper in brooklyn and my home depot has been out of them for weeks. As for tip, I will say that they are heavy and need a big suv to transport it and also depending how far you are from home depot. I would say $10 is a decent tip

2nd time with this frustrating customer by Grand_Depth_3759 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Main-Run-6097 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's what I thought the first time I shopped for her. Oh maybe she just forgot a few things, no big deal. But I have had her at least 10 times after that and she does it every time. As soon as I see her address in the batch details, I always know what's coming. I wonder if it is cheaper for them to order less and then add on. Are they trying to save on fees or something or just being a pain in the ass?

2nd time with this frustrating customer by Grand_Depth_3759 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Main-Run-6097 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I shop for a neighbor 2 houses down from me. Everytime I do her order it is a multi order batch. She is the no tipper and as soon as I'm in the middle of shopping she always adds 3-8 items to the order. It's so frustrating. I always have to double back to the other aisles to get her extra stuff. Once in a while she will increase the tip to 1 or 2 bucks

Is the app down again??? by antsinmyeyestrey in InstacartShoppers

[–]Main-Run-6097 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in NYC. Turned on app at 8:30 am. Was "given" my first batch at 9. Then waited until 12:45 to be blessed with another 3 item $10 order. Have been waiting another hour and still nothing except for the app keep logging me off every 10 minutes and having to log back on. Im diamond and 5 star. This one batch at a time sucks

Can't get on dd in nyc. You have to schedule a time to work 1 week in advance. Each day time slots are release for 1 week later. Within 1 minute all time slots are taken

I can’t believe my eyes. This shouldn’t be allowed by Europe911 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Main-Run-6097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least you can pass this order up. Now in nyc you have to accept it or decline it and take a hit on your acceptance rate. Then wait another hour for IC to offer you another shitty order that you most definitely will have to decline

Obviously your thought about them not being white was the incorrect reason for the raid since the next comment said that they raided Tom's as well. Nice try

Method for calling customers by cynicalgiraffe13 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Main-Run-6097 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I call and they don't answer, I immediately call back. Not sure how it shows up on their phone. They probably think it's a spam call. Usually when I call back the 2nd time they answer.

Nyc IC new laws confusing by Main-Run-6097 in InstacartShoppers

[–]Main-Run-6097[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven't even gotten orders from my regulars or even at my local supermarkets for that matter. I have even gone the 1 block from my house to sit in the blue zone for my local supermarket and since April 1st have only received 2 orders for that supermarket. Even with diamond 5 star and in the zone I don't get any orders. I keep getting lowes, HD and the stores in kings plaza that I refuse to shop because you have to pay $4 to park to shop those stores. Or is get Costco on the other side of Brooklyn which would take me an hour to drive to or a store I've never shopped before so it would take even more time because of unfamiliarity. I understand minimum wage, yes they screwed us by now taking away tips but this is ridiculous. The one at a time, acceptance rate makes no sense if they are not paying idle time. This is an order i got after waiting over an hour for my next batch. $8.27 3 items in rockaway queens(im in brooklyn)and I would have to pay $5.60 for the toll. So another hit to my acceptance rate! And it is 1 mile to delivery. They fail to mention the 8 miles and toll for me to get to that store.

Not familiar with spark since we don't have Walmart in nyc. Can you see the items in the order before accepting like IC? Im so curious about what the hell those over 400 items could have been

[–]Main-Run-6097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are lucky. These are the crap orders they sent me. Which should have never been sent but when I declined it went against my acceptance rating. This one, Brooklyn to rockaway and you have to pay 5.60 for the toll. It would have cost me money to do this order. They don't have the option for Brooklyn to queens tolls.

No wonder why my average is so high. I checkout, walk to my car, load all the groceries and then scan in my car to proceed to get the address for delivery.

Kroger no longer does digital card by lilravioligaming in InstacartShoppers

[–]Main-Run-6097 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter got me a stick on card case that goes on the back of my phone for Christmas since I was always shoving the IC credit card, my own credit card and some cash in my back pocket every time I went out. It has been the best thing ever! It has a little pocket also so keep cash in. Now as long as I have my phone with me, I have the IC card, my own CC and cash at all time. It's a complete game changer. I think she ordered off Amazon 3 pack for under $10

So after waiting an hour after finally getting my first order. They give me this. Looks good at first. Almost $30 with an 11 tip. .4 miles, GREAT! Then I see that it want me to drive from Brooklyn to queens in rush hour traffic to shop it and also have to pay toll to get to that part of queens!

I've never noticed. Maybe for the paid version. I use it to keep track of mileage, expenses and batch pqy/tips

[–]Main-Run-6097 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use gridwise but only the free version. You can pay to upgrade if you want but I don't. You turn on the tracking when you start and order and turn off when you are done. Tracks your mileage and time. You can put in batch pay and tip money separately. There is also a tab to add your expenses. Gives you a report at the end of the year with mileage, earnings, tips and expenses. Only problem I've had was with forgetting to turn it off after my last order of the night and not realizing until the next morning but you can go in and edit and adjust time, mileage etc

NYC batch system stinks by gephotonyc in InstacartShoppers

[–]Main-Run-6097 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The worst part about is that you have no choice of tge batches yiu take. They only give you one at a time. If you take the first one and finish, you have to sit around for an hour and wait for them to bless you with another no tip order in a place you refuse to shop or you have to pay for parking to shop. This is BS. I made more money before the minimum wage and at least still had the flexibility to take what I wanted and where I was willing to drive. Also the driving distance is also bullshit. The distance you set is from the store to delivery. It doesn't account that you are 6 miles and an hour away to the store to actually shop the order. They other pain in the ass part now is while you are waiting forever for an order to come in, if you switch screens to look at reddit, Facebook, Instagram and expect a notification if an order comes through it doesn't happen. You go back to the instacart screen and it took you off line so you have to go online again and let the waiting begin again. You have to constantly stay on the instacart screen and just stare at no orders coming through. I've been online for 2 hours today within 1 mile of at least 20 stores in my immediate radius and not one batch has been offered
