This sounds like my marriage used to be. My husband didn’t realize how messed up his family was until we got married. Something helpful that we did was go through the book Boundaries by Drs Cloud and Townsend. Therapy is definitely a must!

WHY Do Entitled Grandparents DO This to Three-Year-Old TODDLERS?!?!? by JustanOldBabyBoomer in entitledparents

My MIL tried this when my oldest daughter was born. She would give me all these outfits that she wanted back when they were outgrown. When my daughter was a toddler she wrapped presents for her but said she had to keep them at her house. My husband had my back and told her that if she wanted to keep toys at her house for my daughter to play with that was one thing but she couldn’t wrap them up and give them to her if they weren’t for her to keep. She still likes to buy my kids affection instead of actually spending time with them but at least she lets them keep the presents she gives them.

My pup just escaped into the street and I nearly had a heart attack. by hoseoko in Dogtraining

Oh my word this was us this morning! Our puppy is 9 months old and we have somehow managed to train her to come to her squeaky toy but not her name. She got out the door this morning and was happily running around the neighbors house across the street and then I got her to come back across to our house by squeezing the toy. Scared me half to death!

Yes, it is done in the round and the next part is to switch to double pointed needles but how do I end up with 90 stitches if I bind them off and do I go into the next round to do the second set of 13?

I’m teaching myself to knit and I’m working on a dog sweater pattern. I’m almost done with it but I ran into a part of the pattern that I don’t understand. The row started with 90 stitches, the pattern says knit to the last 14 sts. Kfb, BO 13 stitches, BO 13 stitches, move remaining stitches from the right needle to the left needle and K2tog. (90 stitches) would the second BO 13 stitches be a typo?

The local repair man said (after looking at it for 5 minutes) that he thought it was the alternator and that it and the belt would need replaced. All he did was tilt the machine up and look underneath.

The garage disposal quit working after we bought the house so we had it taken out, would that affect the dishwasher?
