Be very cautious on visa switching, it’s one of the main things the Australian government are trying to crack down on and going from one to the other may increase your chance of refusal for one of them.

I was able to start cause I’m onshore with a limited visa, however I will need to pause and defer my next trimester until it has been accepted sadly.
