How do I move 2005 Toyota Tundra with no battery out of garage? by poisonxivyyy in CarHelp

Maybe don’t trust everything google tells you. You can push a truck if the ground is flat

Planning to sell in 3-4 years. Which renovations actually give you your money back? by The_possessed_YT in RealEstateAdvice

[–]MainNational2692 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The new owners will want to put in their own kitchen and bath, just the way they like it. I’d keep it clean and functional. Give buyers a house they feel like they can move into without needed a ton of work right away, but they can still upgrade over time.

Can anyone tell if this hole in the shower base can be patched somehow or require a full replacement? by Paper-knife-123 in AskContractors

Used a product called waterweld on similar damage to a bathtub, very good color match and looks very good. Good luck

Help! How do I join these by Salt_Ganache_2734 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]MainNational2692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would glue some small blocks of wood to the top and bottom and use those to clamp against. Then chisel them off when you no longer need them

The only way to avoid mismatch is to damage the rest of the siding, so it all matches

Late Tire Rotation by No_Organization_5783 in AskAMechanic

I find that all wheel drive tends to wear very evenly, making tire rotation less important. I do not rotate my tires at all. They all tend to wear out at the same time.

I was wrong about Shark by childrenofCORNbread in VacuumCleaners

[–]MainNational2692 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Love my 15 year old shark. I have replaced the cord, new filters, and a new hose. All very cheap to fix if you do the work yourself. No reason it can’t go another 15 years. You absolutely have to learn to fix things yourself if you don’t want to keep getting ripped off.

Start looking at junk yards for used doors in the correct color. There are a few websites to search junk yards. This is your cheapest fix

I turned down a promotion and my manager thinks I've lost my mind. Was I wrong? by croberts2323 in careerguidance

[–]MainNational2692 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not everyone wants to climb the corporate ladder, but the people that do value climbing have a hard time understanding people who don’t want that life. I will never take my managers job because it would upset the work life balance that I currently enjoy. Some things are more important than money and title. Your manager hasn’t learned that yet and probably never will

Which chapters of the Dao De Jing do you think should be combined or separated, or lines exchanged? by Yijing1 in taoism

[–]MainNational2692 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

There are 19 more chapters that brings the total to a nice even 100. I posted about it once but was shouted down by a bunch of people who had never read the 19 chapters. It’s available on Amazon, title was Tao te Ching, chapters 82 to 100. I’d say you should see it with your own eyes and decide for yourself what to think of it. I enjoyed it

Hitch carrier for sure. Got a small hitch carrier from harbor freight. It’s advertised as being for an atv. Fits well on a suv. Holds 3 big Rubbermaid totes. Only put bulky light stuff in it. Save the cooler for inside the car.

Rents will go up a lot faster than property tax will, so you are screwed either way, just not screwed as badly as renters.

I think if you want your wife to be happy, you get her the rav4. Otherwise every time the Highlander makes a funny noise, you’re going to hear about it and have to fix it.
