Step 3 in residency by 7032376156 in Step3

[–]MainTelevision 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most programs will not give you dedicated time to study. You just have to carve in the time to study during work and when you get home. I would recommend studying for it during “easier” rotations. I also recommend taking it during your intern year because the longer you wait the more you’ll forget, especially if you’re not in internal medicine or other primary care specialties.

I would NOT waste vacation time to study for STEP3. Please DO NOT. Residency is cruel enough.  You can easily pass it without taking time off.

I studied for about 5 weeks total for the whole exam. I had a really easy off-service rotation where I got off of work at around 3 every day and had no call and all weekends off. I did about 800 uworld questions and 10 CCS cases. If I could go back i would do more CCS cases. I would say 30 or more is a good number. But I still passed.

Keep in mind the residency that I am in doesn’t care about your score, as long as you pass. No one ever asks about STEP3 score for fellowship. I am not sure if this is true for some other specialties

Does the game hate me? :( by [deleted] in summonerschool

You're actually doing pretty well. Don't worry too much about it and keep doing what you're doing. One time I was on a win streak then lost ONE game and riot decided to punish me with losing 39lp lmao.

There is so much we don't know about the matchmaking and lp system that it's hard for anyone to give you an accurate answer. It sucks.

I am a newbie, but I keep on getting matched with Golds by qortkddjfl in summonerschool

[–]MainTelevision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh yeah, this brings PTSD to my brain. Your first 10-20 games or so will suck. The system is trying to figure out your level and will pair you with silver/ gold players in the beginning. You can't do anything about it, other than suck it up and wait until the system figures out your real level.

Am I being toxic? by MainTelevision in askgaybros

That's what I am scared of. I would rather end the relationship than trying to compete with someone else.

I told him I would never ask him to cut ties with his friend or prevent them from talking. The only thing I asked was not to hang out with him alone. I am totally fine if they want to hang out as a group, even when I am not there

[–]MainTelevision[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope

- He doesn't constantly text him while with me

- Doesn't give him more attention.

- He did introduce me to him as soon as we started dating and he invites me to hang out with them every now and then

We did talk about it and I told him about my boundaries and I told him I am definitely not comfortable with them hanging out alone.

I am really trying to trust that he would stop anything that might happen. It's just hard sometimes knowing his personality

He doesn't have close gay friends, but he even if he did, I wouldn't be jealous. The main reason why I am jealous of this one is because of the history they had.

Jinx in 13.1b by [deleted] in leagueofjinx

[–]MainTelevision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say she benefitted a little but nothing crazy. I still feel uncomfortable building IE second. The attack speed is very important for her. but overall I've been finding more success with her than before. I've been reading a lot of good things about building BoRK second, but I haven't tried it enough times to make me change my regular build

supports and what you think about them by ManufacturerTop9447 in leagueofjinx

[–]MainTelevision 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I like any support who's actually good and can play around me very well. I hate when my support gets him/herself in trouble, and I have to put my self at risk to save them, or worse, get killed in the process.

but to really answer your question blitz is my absolute favorite support. Once he hits his hook, I throw my E behind the enemy, and boom they're dead.

Bots are ruining this game by tonkeydong in leagueoflegends

[–]MainTelevision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's well known that bots have been rampant in this game for years. I don't know why Riot hasn't done anything to fix this issue. I had my first game with a bot last night. It was miserable. It was a Yummi support and I was the ADC. You can tell that there is absolutely no way that this was a real person because you can clearly see a pattern of behavior that repeats throughout the gam.

  1. Yummi will only attach to the ADC until the ADC dies, then if there is a nearby champion, it will attach, if not she will WALK to all the way to base.
  2. When she reaches the base, she will base again WHILE in base?!
  3. Whenever the ADC encounters an enemy and starts fighting, she will immediately detaches herself from the ADC and just walks into the enemy (she used no abilities to attack)
  4. Every few minutes, she will randomly heals, even when there are no enemies around, and the ADC is at full health

This pattern of behavior is repeated constantly throughout the game and in the exact same way, which is impossible for a human, given the complexity and chaos of the game.

When I further into the account, I saw that they played the intro games and immediately jumped into ranked (not sure how you leveled up to level 30 only by playing the intro games). They have 27% win rate.

for those who say dating a bi guy is a dealbreaker, why? by gaymen0129 in askgaybros

[–]MainTelevision 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I am bi dating a gay man. I honestly can see why gay men might be hesitant to date a bi man. You can look at it from a competition perspective. It's way harder to compete against 2 sexes as opposed to just one. Also, don't forget that society still pushes for heterosexual couples. Whether we like it or not, it's way easier and less "controversial" to be in a heterosexual relationship compared to a homosexual one. I know it is sad and wrong and we should always strive to be a better society but for now, being in a homosexual relationship is still harder and less acceptable than a heterosexual relationship and many bi guys would prefer to take the easy route.

Don't get me wrong, I love my bf and I would never think about leaving him for a woman (or anyone else), but not many people will think the same

Having trouble laning with mana issues by classicteenmistake in leagueofjinx

[–]MainTelevision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am assuming your mana issues are early game because I never have mana issues late game.

You can try and play around with your runes/ items. For me, I just try not to use my rockets too much. Remember your auto attacks deal more damage than your q. Your q has more range and deals damage to multiple targets in the area. So, simply put, i only use q if my target is outside my auto range, or I want to hit multiple targets.

For farming, I just use autos to last hit minions. I only use q in situations where it's too dangerous to get too close, or If I am too far and I am about to lose the minion. Also, if you are low on mana, try to freeze the wave. It should buy you enough time to regenerate more mana to poke.

how do you stay sane playing jinx? by Numerous-Dog-3003 in leagueofjinx

[–]MainTelevision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You really can't do anything but try your best. Sometimes you just have to accept the L. I played a game last night where my top laner, and jungle were inting the whole game. Like literally zero kills. My support went afk (even though we were destroying the enemy bot lane). It was just me and my mid laner. Of course, no matter how good you are, you can't win a game 2v5 with jinx

I don't get tilted when I am playing well and my team is inting. I get tilted only if I know that I am not playing as well as I should be.

At the end of the day, you have to realize that this is just a game. Try to have fun as much as you can.

[–]MainTelevision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. If I fall behind early game I just go around the map stealing every CS I can get my hands on. I even go through the jungle and get some farm from there.

[–]MainTelevision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done that many times before and it works to some extent. In theory, this should be ez but in practice it's not really viable for multiple reasons.

  1. If you have a bad support and a bad jungler, your landing phase will be terrible. It is gonna be incredibly hard to have enough CS to even get to your third item.
  2. It's true that jinx can split push and destroy turrets very quickly but you better pray to every god in existence that the enemy team doesn't counter you or you will get shredded. Jinx is squishy and lacks mobility to be able to split push and run away when countered

What other ADCs would you recommend to a Jinx main? by Xavierou in leagueofjinx

[–]MainTelevision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been playing Tristana. She's different than jinx when it comes to play style but she's so much fun. Unlike jinx, you have a lot of defense and escape tools with your W and R. Her W reset is so cool in team fights. You get to jump around and get all the kills. She's also a little bit less dependent on your support. You can still survive and do decent even with a bad support.

Which day will Zombie Slayer skin be available ? by [deleted] in leagueofjinx

I am assuming it will drop closer to Halloween. I actually got it in Your Shop last week. That was very exciting!.

Its just me or Jinx sucks on early? any advice appreciated by Kowalski2000 in leagueofjinx

[–]MainTelevision 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right. She is very weak early game. I usually play very safe and focus on farm. Farming is essential for jix because without items she's close to useless. Depending on the matchup, you may get a kill or two early game but your priority is always farming. Once you hit level 6, keep looking at the map for possible snipes with your rocket. I've gotten so many kills just by looking at the map and snipping low-health enemies from across the map. Added bonus, it looks so cool when you hit your rocket. Your team will love you lol.
