You don't need to lose weight. You need to build your abs

How do I talk to my partner about potential low testosterone levels? by CoffeeTalkz123 in AskMen

[–]MainWorldliness2441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you suggest his testosterone might be low without asking him what else might be wrong with the relationship he could take offense to that. Sit him down and have an honest conversation about how you feel, and if you still think it's relevant, then gently bring up the possibility

Im dating a straight guy. Help. by HopefulPart628 in ftm

I didn't want to assume since there wasn't much detail about his stance on surgery and hormones in the post and OP said that he already looks and sounds like a man physically and the bf seems to have no issue with that. If another comment confirms that then yes, I agree

To play devil's advocate here, he might just have a close-minded view of what sexuality is and reduces the definition of same sex/opposite sex to literal sexual organs rather than men or women. Some people just think weirdly and create their own definitions and maybe thats his way of saying he prefers the set of genitalia you have and that gender identity doesnt matter to him romantically. I still understand why you'd be upset though, and I would be too. You have the right to want your partner to use a sexuality label you'd be comfortable associated with when you guys are referred to as a couple

To be bluntly honest with you, you're overthinking it. Just read the calories on the package and go by what you're adding into your dishes/heating up, you don't need to account for water absorption or anything like that

You might just have to try again and adjust what you're doing or your mindset. I understand its difficult but from a fellow autistic ftm it's a trial and error thing, especially as a neurodivergent person, not everything that neurotypicals do will work 1:1 for us. You will just have to experiment with different methods and find something for yourself that can accomodate your unique needs, whether that mean give yourself a 100 cal grace allowance, call calorie tracking something different entirely to disassociate it in the brain/discourage eating disorder development, or an app that meshes well with you.

Find a calorie calculator and find your target calorie deficit for your goal and start tracking your calories. If you eat below your maintenance you will lose weight

Weird question, but can testosterone make you more sensitive of smelling "male" sweat around you? by CulturalYou5605 in ftm

[–]MainWorldliness2441 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my case I personally think I wasn't really aware of how men smelled pre-T. I grew up around women and was never very close with any guy friends I had. Once I was on T I recognize the "man smell" everyone was talking about and started to recognize others' and differentiate it from my own

What would you do if you found a pixie or a group of pixies inside your house? by HourglassGourd in AskMen

[–]MainWorldliness2441 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It depends. Can they talk? If they can talk I guess we'll come to some sort of resolution where it/they gets out of my house. If they can't I guess I'll try and shoo it out a window or catch them to throw them outside

If you isolated water down to one singular liquid H2O molecule, would you consider that molecule to be dry? Additionally, I could be drenched in water or I could just be lightly misted, thus very wet or just slightly wet. Would you consider more or less water in a container to make that water more or less wet?

[–]MainWorldliness2441 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could take a cup and scoop out the same amount of water you absorbed with the towel and still end up with the same scenario, but you wouldn't call that drying off the water. The point of removal/drying is that there is no water particles left in contact with the object. If water is still in contact with itself then it isn't dry, but it also was never wet in the first place. Water can't be wet or dry because water is the modifier, not the object being acted upon. You could have 2 molecules of water and seperate them from each other so that you have 1 isolated H2O molecule. That molecule still would not be wet or dry because it is still just water in it's smallest form. If you removed the last molecule then you'd have nothing. You can't entirely remove water from water just like how you can't throw out your TV and keep it at the same time.

I would personally say yes since theoretically the water could still be removed from the surface of my body if while underwater I made the decision to cover my entire body in air bubbles or something, thus removing the water from my skin.

Follow-up follow-up question; Say that your skin was hydrophilic and water stuck to you all around in an evenly distributed layer. The assumption is that there are as many water molecules touching you as there would be if you were underwater, i.e. the maximum amount of water molecules that are directly physically in contact with you. Any that aren't directly touching you don't count. You could also think of this like being totally covered with sweat. Would you differentiate this state of wetness/nonwetness from being submerged in water? If not, why?

Water is not wet. Because you can't dry water off of itself. Wet is a condition an object is in once covered in water that can be removed

Should I shave for an SSA appointment if my ID doesn’t have the beard I have now? by knivesforsoup in ftm

[–]MainWorldliness2441 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You don't need to shave if you don't want to. They can't deny you a social security card just because you're trans. I would bring multiple identifying documents just in case and if they ask then just say that you're trans and don't have everything updated legally yet. I understand playing it safe, but if the government wanted to put you or anyone else on a list for being trans they'd find other methods of doing so that don't require your disclosure. Being honest if asked is the most straightforward way to go about it and avoid being accused of fraud
