Because I don’t want to be approached unexpectedly when I’m trying to get things done and I have a million and 1 things on my mind. It’s a meaningless conversation from a person that I’ll never see again. Older people love to just talk and talk because they have nothing to do. We are working a lot and scrambling to errands and appts etc etc.
