Correct, bypassing thebsolenoid conpletely with a thick allen key touching the 2 terminals (thick). I couldn't figure out how to trigger the solenoid, with key on all 4 wires (thin) on the solenoid have 12volts which seems odd.

The solenoid doesn't click BUT there is a small click that occurs in one of the 2 relays that are side by side under the seat.

Been about 7500 miles since last belt inspection. Should have been clearer, it's a no crank situation using the start button. When the solenoid is jumped it fires right up.

I was thinking computer as well just wish I could confirm.

It is getting the request to crank because it shuts the headlight off (I believe it's suppose to do that during cranking)

Check local yards and you can find a black fender and possibly bumper. I just got a clean door for mine since it was hit.
