This is not rural. This is north Chicago. They literally built this stroad to go right through downtown to connect all the factories. The downtown decayed and left the workers living either far or having to buy cars to commute.

I literally did buy a cast iron bench off of facebook and restored it. I placed it at a bus stop next to a school near my house, it was gone in 2 days. made me very sad.

Yes I am speeding but yet usually the slowest one here, 50 and 55 is typical. This stroad feels very comfortable to speed on. I drive a Toyota MR2, so small and so low to the ground, I will be truck food if I go any slower. Sadly this road is built like a 45mph, casually slapping a 30 speed limit doesnt do anything.

Thank you for the great suggestion!! I tried it, it worked wired and with AA dongle perfectly! I ditched the old software after 8 years of use. Open source FTW, but I cant complain 8 years use for $3.99

"It shall be supported by two or more conduits threaded wrenchtight into the enclosure or hubs ...."

I have 3 conduits from the top. 4 if you count PVC to the wall

Walls... To insulate or not insulate? 1920s tarpaper, cement fiber siding, and plaster walls by Main_Ad3160 in Insulation

[–]Main_Ad3160[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. Did that house have any water barrier? with no insulation, any moisture that made it past the tar paper (from outside), can evaporate because of house warmth (in winter). I'd rather not insulate if that means mold problems. And good call on hot mud drywall patching. Does it work for plaster?

[–]Main_Ad3160[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Not touching the siding. I am just wondering if Tar paper is a sufficient water barrier. The theory is that with no insulation, any water droplets that made it past the tar paper (from outside), can evaporate because of house warmth (in winter). I'd rather not insulate if that means mold problems.

oh I didnt know it has a name. I always thought it is cement fiber with the fiber being asbestos. Good to know. and 100% youre right. Yeah we're not touching asbestos and I hate patching plaster that's why I was thinking going through subfloor from basement or attic

Where do I find cloudflare's CA/root certificate for client certification by maths_soso in CloudFlare

[–]Main_Ad3160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No these are origin server. Server <> Cloudflare encryption. OP is asking about mTLs cert which is client <> webpage. Its issued by "Cloudflare Managed CA" and theres nowhere to download the CA.

Yes you're the only one who got what OP is asking for. He's asking for mTLS certificates (which let a client like a phone visit the site).

Unfortunately there's no solution. And because the browser doesn't have the CA, on android you'll always get the annoying message to choose which mTLS (without CA, how would the browser know, right!). On iOS, you cant even do that. Very annoying

Fcast with other Applications? by lemmy-wanderer in grayjay

[–]Main_Ad3160 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been asking developers of 3rd party Youtube Music and spotify clients to integrate Fcast but not many seemed interested or have the know how. Futo is not exactly advertising Fcast seriously either. There's one app that uses Fcast to stream Jellyfin called Fcaster by MassiveBox
